The mortgage balance is £761.37 :j

The way the endowment finished was a little odd. Four weeks before the maturity date, they send out a letter with an estimated final figure. Then on the maturity date, they pay the funds direct into your bank account. However the estimated figure was £2000 lower than what we actually got (I'm not complaining at all). So we have extra that we hadn't expected.

On Monday I will call Nationwide and find out their redemption figure and how to close the mortgage down.

We had a great day in London yesterday despite the pouring rain. We had afternoon tea at the Ritz. What an amazing place. Then back to our hotel to change, then off to watch Wicked the musical. It was a really special day.

:j:j:j WE ARE MORTGAGE FREE :j:j:j
I called Nationwide this morning and paid their redemption figure. I cancelled the mortgage direct debit and transferred the surplus endowment funds to savings. Then I finalised the mortgage spreadsheet.

Now what am I going to focus on :rotfl:

    Yup, so would I :rotfl:.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

    a penny picker upper.
