Eon Fixonline 6

I just phoned E.ON to ask a similar question...
In my case switching from E.ON FixOnline 7 which finishes on 1st May 2011.
I asked about changing to SaveOnline 6 which looks cheaper than the default E.ON EnergyOnline plan that I would placed on if I took no action.
I was told there would be no early termination fee if I switched online.0 -
My fix finished last night the same as everyone.
I went online to look at my account this morning but there was no longer a link near the bottom showing me tarifs that I could switch to.
Is this just because the account is 'updating' and it's a weekend or has something gone wrong?.
I'd also like to know if Eon will automaticaly produce a closing bill to finish?.
Help from Eon Rep. appreciated.Waddle you do eh?0 -
I'm not an e.on rep, but can't you just submit a reading now and request a bill anyway? Quite often you get the bill produced the same day in my experience.
I think the alternative is that when you next get a bill, an estimate would then be put in for April 1, and the bill split between the two schemes.0 -
If you don't submit readings, Eon isn't psychic, so of course they will estimate.
Submit actual readings, your next bill should use them as the tariff change point. Unless Eon doesn't believe your readings, in which case they can send a human reader.0 -

"online" : so £30 penalty if you call? I think it's just a hazy discretionary penalty if Eon thinks you are particularly wayward.
My FixOnline 8 finishes on 1st JULY, and I don't think I will see a tariff that low ever again.:(
I did think it was somewhat annoying to have to physically be around to read the meter, submit them and switch online, but then if I did leave instruction to switch to SaveOnline 6 on 1st May, and then go on holiday for a month, SaveOnline could be on version 7, and a better value FixOnline 10 could be available by then.
Besides, what difference does it make if I'm on standard tariff for a couple of weeks in May? The heating's off.0 -
Can someone tell the rates for gas and electric for this plan, I can't seem to get eon site to come up!!
Thanks0 -
Hi guys.
Sorry for the late reply, we don't work over the weekend.
I will try and answer everyone’s questions.
For those of you that have changed on to SaveOnline 6 as your fixed tariff has come to end, you probably won't be charged the cancellation fee as you have changed so close to the end date.
You won't receive a final bill, but if you provide meter readings for the day that you changed tariff, we will bill up to these reads then continue on the new tariff.
If we don't receive meter reading we will use an estimate for the day of the tariff change.
I can't really post unit prices on the open forum, but can send me your details to the email address in my profile page and I will be happy to get these for you.
Hope this helps.
If there is anything I have missed, just ask.

Hi Helena,
It's not really any consolation to be told that we probably won't be charged cancellation fees.
So, in other words, it is possible that I will be charged a £30 fee simply for changing my tariff on the same day that my current tariff ends.
This is NOT good customer relations policy!

you can change tariff twice in a 90 day (upto 8 times in 12 months) billing cycle thru Eon self serve site, so go on save online 5, and if 6 better swap on to that when available, which will be in the next 7 days, just because the version number is higher does not guarantee Save Online 6 will be better than v5, all you can do is wait til available.
Hi all can an E.ON Company Representative, confirm the above (do we get charged £30 or not). I changed my plan before the end date to Saveonline 5, can I now change to the longer Saveonline 6 and not be charged the £30 fee.0
