Eon Fixonline 6

The fixonline plan is coming to a end on 1 April 2011, I would like to transfer to their Saveonline 5 on the 1 April. However will it be there on the first, or should I transfer now and if so will I be charged £30.

you wont get charged for switching tariffs within eon, so no, you wont pay the fee. they only apply the fee if you leave the company within the contract term (except for home moves if you take them with you)

saveonline v5 is gone now, replaced with 6. same thing, just runs a little longer.

    Hi Maddipops,

Thanks for the info, just checked the eon site and can only see saveonline v5, cannot see v6.

    Hi Hammer Time

I would stay on Fixonline 6 until the end date. The overall discount on this plan is greater than the lower unit prices on Saveonline 5. Although the end date of Fixonline 6 is imminent, it will still save you a bit.

Whilst we're currently looking at launching another online product, Saveonline 6, this isn't available at the moment. Saveonline 5 is still available though.

Hope this clears things up Hammer Time. Give me a shout if you need any more info as will be happy to help.

    Hi Malc,

Thanks for the info, I have just received my bill (23 March) so I believe I will only be losing out for a week or so.
Do you know if the saveonline 6 will be the same price as the saveonline 5?
    What would you do?

    Thanks

you can change tariff twice in a 90 day (upto 8 times in 12 months) billing cycle thru Eon self serve site, so go on save online 5, and if 6 better swap on to that when available, which will be in the next 7 days, just because the version number is higher does not guarantee Save Online 6 will be better than v5, all you can do is wait til available.
  • I was just about to post about the same thing, Although moving away from E.on might be cheaper?

but it's BG!!! dont sell your soul to satan for a couple of quid saving a month!! Eon offer much more than price, a better energy monitor, easier to use website, and great customer service. (personal opinion - im not speaking on behalf of eon)

Oops I didnt realize save online v6 hadnt been announced to the public yet .....

that's why I've used hedge betting words re garding Save Online 6. Should be 31st March tho assuming no more delays, I personally agree with you maddipops, just if you're going solely on price you cant disagree, websaver 11 is currently the cheapest (for the most part) by a country mile, as much as it pains me to type that!!
