Ex-vendors keep wanting bits from the house they sold to me!

I let it go for a while but i'm being pestered by the woman whose house I bought recently as she keeps wanting to collect bits she 'forgot' when the couple moved out.
So far they've taken some garden ornaments. There is some mail for them so i'm happy to hand that over.
However, now she wants an aerial booster and some aerial cables that she left in a fitted cupboard. Those fitted cupboards are being dismantled and disposed of tomorrow! They are emtpy as far as I can tell.
Another reason i'm p1ssed off about this is that the couple removed practically everything - including digging up a nice plant from the garden and leaving a huge hole and the cover for the hob extractor fan that was mounted on an external wall.
They even removed the grilled from the air vent in the bathroom!
Is she taking the p1ss as the house is now mine and it's being gutted now?
I need to make it clear to her that the house is now sold and to stop texting me for bits from the house every week. But I need to keep things polite and friendly. What do I do?

What is listed on the Fittings form the sellers completed? Have they declared these things on there? If they are on there then they have no right to take them!!
That aside though, the house is legally yours, so I am not sure whether they have rights to take it regardless?!0 -
Just firmly tell her that it's no longer her property and that you have removed and discarded everything that was left. I think you've been far too accomodating already to be honest. I'd also tell her that you'll forward mail for 1 more week before marking them 'Return to sender'. Maybe advise her of the Mail Forwarding Service the post office offer, it's pretty cheap and reliable.0

Of course they're taking the p1ss.
Tell them to sod off.0 -
I would agree with what Bottomrung posted.
She is definately taking the mick don't reply to her texts or text her back to avoid getting into a war of words, the worst thing I ever did was give a seller my phone number.
Ask her not to contact you again otherwise you might have to drop hints about getting legal advice over the things she is taking, suggesting legal advice can usually get people to back off.
Copy the fixtures and fittings list and check it against the items she wants.
You are being far too kind & she is taking advantage of this.0 -
LOL.
Jeez.
It's just that outside of these forums i'm actually a really nice guy...
I'll tell her to p1ss off.Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0 -
I would have told her to f**k off by now.
She should have made sure everthing she wanted was removed at hand over time. End off.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100/100miles

I understand that you would PREFER to keep matters civil with the previous owners but I'm a bit baffled by you saying that you "need" to do so. Is there any particular reason for it?
Candidly speaking - yes, the ex owner IS taking the Mick. And most severely so. Forgetting ONE item, ok this can happen. But to keep asking for stuff from one's old property...come on!
In view that they had the foresight to even dig up established plants from the garden AND removed curious items like an air vent grill....that woman isn't merely a tad cheeky but downright disrespectful and rude.
I appreciate that it can be really awkward to tell someone - regardless how politely and how warranted - to naff off. Hence, you might want to utilize her seemingly preferred medium of contact - a text message.
Keeping it short, stern & factual simply state that you have accomodated her requests as much as possible but whatever is still left in the house now stays in the house...or has already been discarded. Also, could they please arrange for mail redirection ASAP or you will discard the mail commencing from ( insert date). Best wishes, blah, blah
if THAT doesn't work...and some people will not respond to anything but a sledgehammer approach...you'll have to tell her that her ongoing requests are perceived as harassment by you.
Or.....and this may work even better!.....start asking for things to be returned! Starting with the plant and the air vent cover. I'll assure you, the moment YOU start asking for things it will be thae last time you'll hear from her
Good luck and stand your ground0
