    Hi all,

Got up and feeling a bit more positive today, and have decided to look at my 2 weeks STS as better than gaining, which I could quite easily have done. As I said yesterday I have not stuck to the diet and didn't do any exercise, so I can't expect miracles.

I have recognised the fact that I have been having an extra meal in the form of a mini afternoon tea most days, as have been visiting my poorly Dad whilst Mum is out in afternoons. He has cancer and has lost a fair bit of weight, We are trying to ensure he doesn't lose much more. He has always been a fan of a cup of tea with, sandwich and / or cake around 3pm, so I have been going in to make sure he gets his tea and you guessed it , joining in with him. I Just need to have fruit or just a drink instead in future.

Got my in-laws here for the weekend, so have also made bigger meals with pudding, which won't help the cause, (I had sugar free jelly at lunch which was fine, but the Rolo dessert was a bad idea last night). I have however, managed to do a bit of walking yesterday, and as the weather is so nice I should get out again today. Last time I lost a lot of weight, I was walking 5 miles a day, so I am aiming to get back to that level, it might take some time though.

Tomorrow is another day and I am determined to continue with the weight loss, no matter how long it takes. Just another 4 stone to go!!

Sorry for the rant, but I do find it helps if I take time to sit down and think about the week and what went right / wrong. Also for the motivation from reading everyones comments.

Hopefully next Saturday I will be reporting a loss!

I was feeling quite excited about jumping on the scales this morning - mr tru has been off work this week, so we've been out and about walking a lot, done loads of heavy gardening and fence building - so I jumped on and the batteries are dead  :rotfl: Will buy batteries today and try again tomorrow.

I think that is what is known as s*d's law!

Sounds like were all having a bit of a rubbish time at the mo. I too am back upto 11st so that'll be a 3lb gain in 2weeks. My main issue is that my little un has been getting up around 5.30am since he was poorly so been having my brekkie around 6ish instead of my usual 8.30ish, 1st lunch around 10ish and then my 2nd lunch around 2ish. Come 6.30 i'm ravenous again for my tea, although i'm not eating terribly i'm obviously eating too much hence my gain. Any tips or ideas on what i can do? I'm still filling up on friut and veg sticks during the day plus i'm still drinking loads of water so i feel like i'm kinda at a dead end.
