The Irony of course is that not 2 days after I received my "invoice" cough ;-) Parking Eye have taken up residence in my local branch of Morrisons.... £1 for 3 hours parking and a £10 minimum spend if you want your £1 back!
It may not do any good but I've complained to the supermarket and my local newspaper about these cowboys... The newspaper is hopefully going to run a story next week on it fingers crossed... :T
Does anyone have any (clean) comments they would like adding if i get my interview? I'm running on anger really and not much in the way of fact ;-)
If that happened at my local Morrison's they would never get my custom again. I actually find it one of the better supermarkets too. No way would i pay to shop in a supermarket.0 -

And you could print out the threatograms on the link below so the newspaper can see for themselves what is being sent.

They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

Hi Peter_the_piper They aren't actually offering there parking on a "whether you shop here or not" basis. The sign states parking for instore only. This store is also used, as I imagine many others are, for people just picking up a local paper or lunch before work etc. It's very short sighted by Morrisons to completely cut out these customers or charge them £1 for the privilege of popping in for ten minutes.... These are the very people who return to do their weekly shop.
Yes I agree it is each persons choice whether they choose to use this store but I genuinely believe that Morrisons have lost sight of their ethics. It says on their website "from Market Stall to Superstore"... Who helped them build their multi million pound business? Us....0 -
Thanks for this Coupon_Mad. I want to arm myself with as much as possible and i'm currently in the process of writing to Morrisons to complain :-)0

The imposition of arbitrary time limits is a nonsense and was the reason I met with the manager at our local Tescos. In front of a group of about a dozen other shoppers waiting at the customer service desk I told him why I would not be returning anytime soon if it was his intention to allow his customers to be exploited in so naked a fashion. The limit at the time was 2 hours and if the OH and me took my wheelchair-bound mother to do her shopping (a monthly event) and had lunch in the cafe afterwards we'd be in the store for up to 3 hours. Neither us or Mum have been back since and to emphasise the point having done our first monthly shop at the local Morrisons (ironically) I took the receipt in and showed the manager - in front of others again at the CS counter - to demonstrate how much custom he was missing. We still use Morrisons. Their cafe is cheaper anyway, we can park right outside and wheel Mum straight out to the car from the table! My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
I would like to know if the advice Smithy is getting from the majority of people is sensible advice. He now probably needs to attend court and pay the two lots of £60 plus admin and court fees. CAN WE HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO AS NOT PAID OR COMPLETELY IGNORED THE DEMANDS FROM PE AND ACTUALLY GOT AWAY WITH IT. I have just received a demand for parking 8 mins over on an Aldi carpark. I couldn,t move my car because I had a puncture. It was the first time I had visited this Aldi branch and I had no idea they had CCTV infact I thought a guy would come and try and put a ticket on the widscreen and the I could explain my situation. As anybody tried reasoning with ALDI when they think they have mitigating circumstances?0

Just do a search on this forum for Aldi, Parking Eye etc and you will only see tickets from them that have been ignored. Had they been ignored and anything further happened they would have all come back here pronto.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
