    Hello Flyfriends

Firstly, (((HUGS))) to Fedup and Triker and anyone else who could do with one today.

Serena I bet you'll be glad to get the blue needlework out - hoping you don't scar.:o

Been a busy Wolf today; deliberately, as it'd be a depressing day today, if I let it. Anyways, Mr LW did the Farmers Market run this morning; I put a the BM on, and when he got back, he helped me make cheese straws, Quorn cheese tomato and onion quiche (today's and tomorrow's dins), cheese straws, carrot'n'orange cake, and apple crumble.

Poor s0d, he's had his paws in the washing up bowl for a lot of the time.:D

He's finishing off the regular Sunday tasks - weekly check of the car (oil, tyres, wash bottle type of thing) and check the greenhouse (it's only one of those little plastic-covered ones, but good for growing herbs in pots), and he's done all the ironing.:A

We've also been listening to old tapes of The Navy Lark - which kind of gives away our age, I guess.:o

ETA Hi, glitterpops, welcome - you posted while I was typing my post! Here's a tree for you :xmastree: this is so that our Meeter'n'Greeter will see you, and will send you a pm to welcome you and give you some useful tips to get started.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Any suggestions as to where I can find a retractable washing line with a metal core? I had a lakeland one, which broke a couple of weeks ago - it was never very satisfactory, and only had a thin nylon core so was very stretchy. There MUST be a decent one out there somewhere...

    Thanks Lamewolf!

    I like my newbie tree.

I normally hang out on the grabbit forum.

the whole zones / flightplan thing sounds very full-on to me, but like Marla says, Babysteps!

DH repaired our old ones many times by replacing the 'line' with a regular one from the shop. In the end I had to get a new one and like you looked everywhere. In the end I got mine from Focus DIY. It's not great but is better than all the others I saw. Let me know if you find a good one.

It looks like it is going to pour with rain here any minute, washing is already in. Think I'll start the ironing soon and then do some cheese on toast for supper and get the kids bathed and set for the last week of school :j we all really need a break.

    :hello:Hi glitterpops, and welcome!

I think you'll find that we are far more laidback here on MSE flylady - but we still achieve! Have a look at the first post, which will give you some idea of how it works.

Later today, there'll be a link to the new weekly thread, and then just jump in with Monday's list!

Depending on how awful your house is at the moment, you may decide to start with Level One, and I would suggest adding a declutter to that as well. Have a think about the jobs that you need to do every day - the dailies - which tend to be a little different depending on whether you have children/pets/paid work etc.

If you're still full of energy, then add Level 2.

It will probably take you longer at the start - remember that it took more than one day for your house to get in this state (I'm assuming a degree of awfulness similar to my own - you'll probably have nowhere near that level of hovelness!!). I can however honestly promise you that it gets easier and quicker with every week.

get set for the last week of school :j we all really need a break.

    We certainly do!

I have finally finished my planning - I didn't get out in the garden after all. I'm thinking terribly slowly still - post-flu and end of term combined I think.

    Thank you lamewolf!

Off to have a cup of tea, then pack my bag. An evening off I think!
