Congrats Grateful xxxx now feet up and plenty of cuddles..

Been through the bathroom cupboards and have found stuff dated use by 2004. So loads thrown out just need to give the bathroom a good clean now. :D
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Many many congratulations Grateful and welcome to the world baby Thomas!

Sexy, in case I forget (which I probably will :o) have a fab day and I hope you don't come down with the lurgy.

Slow start to the day today, done all the dailies, kids dressed and casserole in for tea, chooks out and just thinking about doing some lunch. I had to up my drugs last night (GP's advice) and have felt so sluggish; I'm sure it will settle down in a few days time. I think we're going to the garden centre to get some vegs for the new veg patch DH has dug, so just been finding out what is good to plant when.

Here's my list - I see DH has been adding to it ;)

    Saturday
    Stockholm tar chooks again
    Sort out DD’s savings account
    See David
    Ironing
Collect freezer from Jon at Chippenham
Dinner for me and DH at Alex’s – Chrissie babysitting
    WM – darks
    Warfarin – 8mg
    Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting

    CONGRATS Grateful!!! :D:D:D

I've not moved off the computer much this morning yet as I've been trying to print stuff out for uni assignment. I have managed to sort the washing out, have brekkie, and gotten dressed. I also made sure DD was ready to go out with her dad which since she's in a "kevin" mood that was a major achievement! :rotfl:

I'm now off to do a HHC in the kitchen as I have washing up to do..

  • Congrats Grateful.

    [VENT]

Well, due to my wanton lifestyle [humph], I didn't do Friday's list, and anyway, it should be DD's list.

When KH picked her up on the bike yesterday, she didn't get around to dropping her dirty washing from school into the linen bin - even though the bin is strategically placed at the bottom of the stairs so she can just fling it in as she descends.

So I had to go into her room to collect the school shirts, as she blithely called out as the bike started up 'Everything on the floor's dirty'. I expected a couple of school shirts, a skirt and a couple of pairs of socks.

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

The venomous little beast has emptied her chest of drawers onto the floor and all the clean washing that went up there has been scattered amongst cans, wrappers, my microphones (which are both broken as she let them wrap around her desk chair), all her CDs, bits of plastic that the cat likes to try and kill himself on, dirty knickers and LOTS of cat fur.

Wasn't sure what else to do, so picked up the stuff that I didn't think had been worn (ie, was still folded) and chucked it back into the drawers. I shall tell her that it was washed again - after all, the odds are that it will go straight back onto the floor when she comes back.

The only things that are being washed are the school things and underwear.

What sort of demented brat deliberately takes clean washing out of the drawers and throws it around the bedroom?

I don't let her have food anywhere other than downstairs, so the cans and wrappers have been smuggled in from school.

There is really no point in trying to have a discussion about it with KH, as we've been there before with my wanting support in making her wash or brush her teeth (she only does them once a fortnight when she goes to his house) or hair, as she screeches at me that it's been done when it quite obviously hasn't. He laughed and said it wasn't his teeth or hair and soap dodging is normal. Then when I asked for suggestions how I could get her to clean her room, as she just dissolved into enraged hysterics or urgently found homework that took 8 hours, he told me it was my job to clean up after her as all I would do otherwise was sit on my backside and get fatter. She piped up that my bedroom is messy, too - but it isn't, it just doesn't have any carpet on it since moving in (I spent the money on doing her room in 100% new things) and I haven't got around to putting any pictures up or my acoustic instruments on hooks in the landing yet.

So I reckon I know where the attitude is coming from. But why on earth do that to yourself? There is nothing worse than being the dirty, stinking, manky kid in school with yellow teeth, cat hairs over your clothes and mud on your shoes from a month ago. In a brand new house with two bathrooms, one right next to her bedroom, there is no excuse whatsoever for looking like the woman from Ju-On/The Grudge.

And how do I put a stop to it before her room looks like it belongs to a serial killer and she looks in need of a 28 day section? She has nothing she values and does no activities whatsoever (she sulks if she has to tag along to my stuff at the club - because it's not all about her). I have thought about sending her back to martial arts (which she has said she is interested in) in the hope that she learns about control and discipline, as she obviously respects me and the things she has about as much as her father respects anyone.

    What do I do?
