Evening all
Just dailies done here. DH was not at work today. We had to discuss wills etc. Had a lovely pub lunch. Helped DS2 with school project. He has changed the subject at least 3 times, as I was saving the powerpoint to a memory stick it froze. It was a tense HH until I recovered it. DS2 has autism and it would have took so long to repeat the project if he could redo it at all.
Good news: My mum should be coming home Monday or Tuesday0 -
Scary amount to get done here by tomorrow afternoon, and not a huge amount done tonight. DW and WM are on, and I have made a start on the dining room of doom .
Cycling Yorkie, thank you for what is IMHO an entirely valid post, and was no more off topic than comments about the behaviour of children/partners/ex husbands that the rest of us regularly make. I interpreted your post as general advice to us all, an audience which includes several breast feeding first time mums who may or may not have listened to this advice when they were sleep deprived at early appointments, rather than criticism of anyone specific which just goes to show how difficult forums/email can be. It is all in the way you interpret it.

hex.. maybe she should have been less aggressive and condescending and not quoting other peoples posts or making it entirely obvious who she was being hateful and spiteful to. It wasn't helpful it was out of order and was not a 'general post', and even if it was it is completely out of place on this thread. It was a deliberate ignorant and unnecessary attack .. just what this site is supposed to be about! and more importantly.. incorrect and misinformed. It isn't necessary to stop breastfeeding when pregnant, exclusive breastfeeding does suppress ovulation for the duration providing there is no more than 6 hours between feeds and it is also far more effective as a form of contraception than many other options. So no, it wasn't helpful.. it was wrong on many levels. It may have been what she was told when she had her children 20+ years ago, there has been plenty of research and experience to prove otherwise.. maybe she should check what she is preaching before she starts spouting off. How is incorrect, inaccurate information useful to new mums? ... Oh.. it isn't!
I think OH is quite justified in being terrified.. I'm not best pleased myself but what concerns me more is his apparent mistrust and lack of confidence in himself and his ability as a father.
Anyway.. feel free to carry on being misinformed and spreading maliciousness and your playground gossiping.. I am going to bed.. because I have a little girl to take clothes shopping tomorrow we are buying big sized clothes for my little girl who is starting her growth hormone replacement in 2 weeks... but you will al be so wrapped up in your fabrications you won't be interested in that.

AnW's point taken about having some pj's in an accessible place – but Mr LW says he can lay hands on them in half a minute flat, and I feel that fetching them downstairs will prod Coyote (the Trickster) into action, and I would end up having to go to hossy, iyswim.:o
Fair comment did wonder about that myself

Evening all. Hope you don't mind me joining in.
I spotted that there's freeing posting on ebay and have had a good rummage in the cupboards. I came up with quite a few bits so they're going on in the morning. I'll have another rummage tomorrow for cs stuff. I've got loads of clothes and my lingerie drawer definitely needs a sort out so there'll be a bag for cs and one for bin. I moved house about 8 months ago and cleared out huge amounts of stuff....but I have a thing for clothes....always think they'll come in use.
Cx
P.S I'm a self confessed neat freak but love to keep hold of things that I think are useful......a complete contradiction in itself. As my dad always used to say 'Just because you've got the money doesn't mean to say you have to spend it all at once'0
