Really safe but bit boring - a nice Jumper from M & S for my hubby, he never buys himself clothes unless it's something like a fishing jacket or leggings. We're at the age if we want something we buy it anyway. Some years if there is a bigger joint present that we would both like (ie portable telly for the bedroom) then we buy that.
Planning a nice summer holiday next year so probably won't splash out for Christmas on each other, besides we've got a baby grandaughter now and would rather spoil her and the family

Got my very deserving bf tickets to see The Producers starring Peter Kay, and am also getting him a hot chocolate set (made myself with a personalised mug from Snapfish), a Topman scarf (using Pigsback vouchers), a Green Day concert DVD and a few other little stocking fillers.
Remember, it's the thought that counts, not the price

I've bought a couple of pc games and books he had his eyes on, a Bi-orb (big fancy self contained aquarium, so even he should be able to look after it), a digital camera and a widescreen 19 inch monitor. Total about 400 quid.
We're pretty good all year about not buying ourself stuff that we want, we do buy cheap, old console and pc games every few months but that's about it. We hardly ever spend money on going out either. The good side of that is it's not a problem to find him things that he'd like at Christmas!
In October I just tell him that he's not allowed to buy anything for himself at all (except socks) from that point forward!0 -

We know what we're getting because we chose them, but I intend to have them wrapped up to exchange at breakfast-time on the Rhine cruise.
DH asked for a new Remington shaver because his other one died.
I decided I wanted to start wearing a cross again, so I went looking for one that was as near as possible to the one I was given as a 21st birthday present. I found one in our little local jeweller's, it's an old one in rose-gold, I chose the chain, then DH went in and paid for it. So we both know. But as I said, we'll get them at breakfast-time on Christmas morning.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

I got my OH a new fishing rod and reel spending £130 on something that should have been £480! I got it before it was even on the market (from an International Distributor!) and he got it in October for a competition. He will get a token gift on Christmas day.....
And I am in the process of sorting a list of things for him to surprise me from!!"Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!
