I got my DH a pair of pyjamas that look like joggers and a long sleeved tee shirt from Tesco months ago and about ten pairs of posh socks as all his are in a right state.

Might get him a jumper if I see one that he would actually wear.

He keeps insisting he does not want anything so I am concentrating on our four daughters.

an old clapped out transit van that he dosn't even want now!

We have to laugh or we would cry ,long story but I will try and shorten it.

We have been "minding" an old transit van for a friend of my brothers at the carpark at the side of our house , Dp said " its a shame that rotting away I could do that up and use it for my off road motorbikes ",I just rolled my eyes he has more half done projects including a house yes a bloody house that's been empty for 18 months,3 motorbikes in bits, and numerous other electrical items .

He is a nightmare to buy for at Christmas so I approached my Brother to ask his mate would he take £100 for it and I thought for a laugh I would put a bow on it for christmas morning.

We went on our walk the following night and DP said "your right I have got enough projects" I told my brother the next day that he had changed his mind ..all fine I thought until I went to see my Dad and he said you owe me £100 ............ NO NO he had only paid for it and got the documents
  • Evening all,can i have some ideas on what to buy my wife please,we recently bought a new car so i'm sorted for the next 5 years,(2nd hand but new to us),and she always says she doesn't want anything but she is the best wifey a bloke could ever have. She has given me 3 great daughters is always doing stuff for others and generally forgets herself so i want to get her somthing special, any ideas please.

  • I'm getting dh an ipod which holds something ridiculuos like 7,500 songs! However my mum, sister and his mum and dad are all giving me some money towards it, so I will buy him a few stocking fillers too. I did think about Monty Python on dvd but after that I can't think of much....

    curlyfairy what a lovley message!!
If i was me (HINT HINT TO DH)
i would just love some me/us time,(we do still get a little time but not as much as we used to before the kids) maybe a meal out on our own, a new outfit for the night out, and unlike alot of women i would love my hubby to pick it.
Other ideas, smellys/perfum,chocs and wine, a pamper hamper, jewellery, underwear, and most important we give each other every year a voucher for a special hug and kiss every day of the coming year!!!
How about a picture of the kids in a frame with a message saying only someone as wonderful as you could give me something as wonderful as this!!

    Right this year I think I have it cracked;

Underpants (nice ones) (empire stores sale and code)
Stinking Bishop cheese (no link to underpants!!)
    Beer (Boots offer)
Estee Lauder for men aftershave (boots vouchers)
BiKe (Only ever had one once and brother smashed it so new one 30 years overdue)
    Funny book (clarkson or something)
    Socks (he wants some honestly)
    Bubble bath

I am quite excited about his gifts this year as they are a bit different from the usual so hopefully he'll like them!

Curly fairy. I've asked DH for some pink leather gloves and a matching scarf (m&S) they are lovely and the sort of thing I wouldn't spend money on myself

Also if DH picked me an outfit I would love it. I would want something that represented how he saw me, not just as a wife and mum (preferably not tarty either, although!!!!)

Well done for thinking so much of her

Hubby & I have a £50 budget on each other. This year he has already had the bulk of his pressie, theater tickets to see Slavas Snowshow earlier this month (it was amazing & I totally recommend it) which was a double gift becuase not only did we see a fab show which he chose & really wanted to see (and it's unusual for him to want to go to the theatre) but we had a nice evening out too ourselves, a real treat with a 15 month old:D.
I have got him a few little bits to open on the day, a photo mousemat of our son (Asda £3), the DVD of Goodnight Mister Tom (HMV £4.99) becuase he loves it & watches it every time it comes on TV (and cries), a book becuase traditionally I get him a biography every year & he likes to spud out reading it on his Chritmas time off (this year Steve Irwins autobiography, £6.59 Play.com)), and a CD of a special choral recording of the 1812 ovature (Asda £5.49) that he wanted. Oh, an a packet of pants (local sports shop £1.79)...because...well, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without pants:p (and he needs some new ones!).

    HTH;)
