  • Its our 2 yr anniversary just before x-mas so i've got Snow patrol tickets and a night in a hotel in Manchester.

For x-mas he has a Seiko kinetic watch, its really smart, bought it at H Samuels the same time my best mate bought a watch for her bloke so it was down from £175 to £150.

We went to Florida in Sept and swam with dolphins so I got him the DVD as a surprise!
I got him a diesel hoodie, a voucher for a massage and a Pamela Anderson calendar. Feel a bit guilty though as he doesn't have much in the way of little things to open!!

Curlyfairy, an extravagant handbag or a bit of nice jewellery often touch the places that other presents don't reach....

Or a day driving a Ferrari round the racetrack a la Red Letter Days.

I had a flying lesson once which was marvellous - if I could afford it, I'd do my PPP.

We have a ten pound budget on each other this year, so I am making him a saucy calendar, and getting him something else small to open in front of the kids - lol!
Debts @ lightbulb moment (13/06/2006) - £59,842.23  All commercial debts now clear!!! :T Debts April - £20,000 to family (incl extra £10k borrowed for house deposit). DFD - Aug 2014
Proud to be dealing with my debts
    Goal of the month - £500 on groceries for family of 5 - Apr 2011 - £620! :( May - £454.85 so far.
  • I've got my fella Shameless series 3 on DVD and Mission Impossible 3. He's also asked for a new jumper so I'll have a scout round for one of those.

He's buying me a new hi-fi which I've picked out, only a cheapie and i'm hoping for football tickets as well. :)
    I :heart2: saving money
  • you need to encourage your guy into a sport and or hobbie then you have endless things to buy him. This year my other half is getting kayak gear again!!!!
i have asked for my DIY list to be completed - as i dont need anything but have been nagging him to do it - sad or what!!!!

also as i am away for christmas - i have bought him a present back from the holiday ( ie kayak gear) so at least instead of a t-shirt that he will probably not wear he gets something he likes and i dont have to spend my holiday looking for souvenirs for him
  • OK, let me think!

    Nice hair and shower stuff
New washbag with bits, including a grooming kit(!)
    Electric shaver
    Doughnut maker (don't ask..... :o :rotfl: )
    Several DVDs / boxsets
Books, including schotts and LOTR (he's a bit geeky, yet has never read it!! )
Wardrobe organisers - i.e those hangers you can hang multiple ties or trousers on (great description I know! )
    Couple lots of aftershave
Lots of stocking fillers, including the usual chocs and a calendar......hawkins bazaar is also fab for weird and wonderful little things!

This seems a bit mad writing it all down, and I'm sure I've forgotten bits, but I have been quite savvy with vouchers, money off offers, cashback....the works! So it seems impressive, but costs less........my fave combination! :money:

If anyone wants links to stuff, let me know......after buying for two brothers, my dad, my OH, his dad and brother, I'm pretty good at the whole male thing if I do say so myself! :D

    Remember the MoneySaving mantras!

    IF YOU'RE SKINT......
Do I need it? Can I afford it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?

    IF YOU'RE NOT SKINT......
Will I use it? Is it worth it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?
