In Scotland its called Minor Ailments... http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2006/06/26102829/1

I get calpol, nurofen, piriton, sudocream, headlice treatment, karcol etc.......... you might get own brands from the chemist but it doesnt matter its all good medicine. I ask if I can get it for my DD before I buy it. 9 times out of 10 I get it at the chemist. you can only register with one pharmacy. Boots do it too.

It will save you a lot of money, as the price of calpol in Tesco is so expensive, and all the other stuff

    ******hijacking this thread.... sorry.

I just typed in my area and Minor Ailments and it came up saying 20 chemists in my area do it, i just need to ring round!!! i have 2 toddlers under 2years and spend around £6 a month on calpol and £14 a month on sudocrem. Hopefully this will save me some money! Thank you.

So if I go in, do I need to take babies with me or can I just nip on my way home from work? TY

not so bad here now as we can,t call and book an appointment for days ahead, we have to call at 8am and see the doc the same day much easier now to get an appointment here, granted u still wait the same time in the waiting room though :(

thats how it works here only problem is phone lines open at 8.30 and it's either engaged or not answered til after 9, by which time there is no appointments  it annoys me we can't book in advance tho the hospital told me i had to go see my dr in a few days so i phoned the next day and sat argueing on the phone for 20mins before she would book me one cause phoning on the day i'd never get one, took me a week to get an appointment and when i finally did they sent me straight to the hospital because they thought i had a punkered lung (turns out i have sereve ashma) but what if i had had a punchered lung i could have dropped dead before they saw me :mad:

we do have emergency/on call dr everyday tho which the dr's take in turn, you have to tell the receptionist whats wrong tho then the dr phones you back i nealry always do this for the kids cause if i'm making an appointment then i need an appointment, and you need an appointment for the nurse now aswell

sorry for my rant it really gets on my goat :o

she was really rude and unhelpful she kept saying "all i can say is the fraud team have checked it against the receipt details and they cannot accept it its invalid" i kept explainin to her how can it be invalid I have printed it once it was before the T&C's changed but she literally would not listen to me.

She said she cannot send my voucher back to me.

I have got the email still which stil opens as £39.66.

Print the breakdown screen (the one before the voucher). Do you still have the receipt?

Do not let them get away with this, they are accussing you of fraud.

I think you are missing the point.

Also theres big boards up in tesco and on stickers at every till that tell you that if you are overcharged on any item Tesco will give you double the difference by way of an apology.

    But she was undercharged!!
If you get a cash refund when you paid by voucher than that is fraud.
Someone else went into this earlier on in this thread.
If the transaction was paid for by card or cash a refund is fine.

it depends what your going for if they need to be with you, i've got a calpol and teething gel without them before, but they like to look at them before giving antibiotics ect
