I studiously ignore them, then smile absently at them if they keep it up. Always works!
Right, off to bed, got a lotta DTDing to do tomorrow (inc some vintage cava).

How do you measure a person's contribution to the thread or the spreadsheet? What one person contributes one month, another person does another month. Will it become a competition as to how much someone contributes? Yes there are people out there who will always take the easier option, but the ethos of MSE for me, is to share. It makes me feel uncomfortable (and excluded) when people talk of "rewarding" the contributors as perceived by them, and excluding many like me (who on the surface may not appear to be doing very much)...because of the perception that we/they are "lazy" and not "working hard enough" to get the DTD reward.
Hi, In my personal opinion.... the fact that you're here, posting on the thread, giving your opinion and talking about the deals is enough for me. My personal issue is with it being passed onto people who don't even bother to find out about it. You and anyone posting here clearly do put that much effort in, even if you don't add deals specifically, either because you haven't found any first or because you aren't online as often as the other addicts(Or maybe that makes you more adicted cos you're in Tesco all day? :A:p)

I dont want to be a party pooper but I have had that rose cava and it wasn't very nice. I am by no means an expert though! Just maybe try one first.0

Precisely! If I do find a bargain I'm more than happy to spread the word, that's the whole point. It'd be silly of me to only let people who'd also found a deal to read my post. While there are selfish people about, most people don't have the information to share or someone has already posted it. If we were to ban the spreadsheet, we'd also have to ban this thread and also ask people not to use ASDA/Tesco.com but go to each store individually, just to make sure they doing "sufficient" work.
This thread probably costs Tesco's 0.01% of turnover. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually increased sales because of MSEers going into Tesco's rather than their usual shop. The amount of stuff you actually get isn't great. If you can only get £20 per voucher it means you're really only getting £10 worth of free stuff. Some items are only a few pence cheaper than ASDA so you'd either have to buy a lot to make it worthwhile if it wasn't something you usually buy.0 -
careful with the boursin (pepper). it's showing as £1 on tesco atm, not sure about instore. still on spreadsheet though.:grouphug:

Hi DTDers,
Not had chance to look in on the thread today and not sure if these have been confirmed (from sat shop) but i've had DTD vouchers today for:
Mateus Sparkling Brut Rose
Thirst Pockets Multi-cloth 2pk
Good Old Betty!
Napolina chopped toms
Nescafe gold refill 150g
velvet facial tissues
Gillette proglide manual razor
Just noticed on my reciept though (recycled using a previous voucher) that instead of saying 'VOUCHER' as it normally does, it says 'NS TESCO/SUPPLIE'
Does anyone know what this means?0 -

I think it might mean it didn't scan - I'm guessing NS is no scan - so they probably had to do it manually so it might have generated a different code

Spreadsheet/no spreadsheet??
Can lurkers see the SS?
Can people who are new to the site see it?
Can it be made sort of semi private?
My view is that Tesco know exactly what they are doing and what we are doing and we are not making a dent in their profits, if we were this promo would be stopped no matter what goes on on this or any other forum.
I am convinced that we are small fry compared to the people who are using this promo as it is supposed to be used.
I am happy to have been part of it, and will continue as long as Tesco continue to give us the offer.
Yay, some reality finally hits this thread. :T0
