Sorry if the color red confuses you... :rotfl: It really is quite simple. If its unconfirmed, then the cell goes red automatically. If it's subsequently confirmed, then it reverts to white. Simples :D

The question is, is it of use or shall I remove it again?

the rubicon was confirmed for me yesterday x

Right i've read this thread, but as quick as i read it, another page pops up....lol

Tomorrow i'm going to do my 1st dtd, could someone please just tell me if this works for me.

    1 - tetley tea bags, 160s - T £3.88 A £2.00 diff £1.88 double £2.76
    2 - lynx shower gel - T £2.37 A £1.00 diff £1.37 double £2.74

So i go and buy the 2 above products, do i need to buy anything else to bump up my receipt, i then come home and input my receipt details, and i'm then sent a voucher via e-mail for £5.50

I can then use this voucher against more dtd products, i don't want to abuse the system, but just want to get some cash back on products that i want/use.

When i take my £5.50 voucher in can i use it against any amount of cash products ie, my next shopping bill is £10 so i then pay £4.50

    Thanks a lot

and wow you lot can chat and chat about this ......lol

Why do people keep saying the spreadsheet is going to get the offer removed? Do people think Tesco can't see their own prices, what people are claiming on and what is costing them money without some spreadsheet on a forum?

I think the concern isn't that Tesco will see the prices, but that the spreadsheet makes it easier for those who want the benefit without the legwork. Trawling through the thread/mysupermarket etc takes effort, whereas a spreadsheet is much quicker and also much easier to share with people who aren't contributing at all.

Not saying it's right or wrong, just summarising

Confirmed date deletion when a price changes - great. At least we'll both be doing the same then.

Personal opinion, not so keen on the coloured cells (hurts my eyes!) but happy to leave up to everyone else to decide.

Can pick a less offensive colour if you like? :D

Thanatos, have you thought about starting up a seperate thread for the spreadsheet? Seems to be taking over this one and instead of being able to happily read through the posts I'm now having to filter my way through the spreadsheet ones. Just an idea. One perhaps which may well satify everybody.

Nope I havent. Apologies that my efforts to make life easier for everyone mean you have to scroll down a couple of extra posts... bear in mind, i have spent most of my evening attempting to solve the problem of people being unable to view the second page and have a workable solution now.

Still, it's no excuse for making your mouse scroll wheel finger ache so i apologise unreservedly.
  • Just got back from weekend away at sisters (armed with some lovely Turners Wine).... sounds like Ive missed quite a bit!!! Can someone pm me the link to spreadsheet (eyes too tired to look back loads of pages!)

How about only allowing access to the spreadsheet to those who add a certain number of deals a day? That way it will be bigger and better and yet only those who help, will benefit. Just an idea.

Personally I have my own system here, but the amount of shopping I've done over the last month, I'd be lost if I didn't. ;)

I'm not picking sides but you make an extremely valid point. Even my Mum and Dad are checking out the spreadsheet, and otherwise they wouldn't have either, the time or energy/inclination to follow this thread. I've been on this thread since the beginning, and I have made it my priority to keep up with it. Surely those who spend the time and energy giving information/answering questions deserve to benefit more than those that click on a link.

Yet at the same time I like the spreadsheet. Maybe there is a way that only those who contribute to it have access - or something.

The people who created the spreadsheet worked hard and should benefit from that work. I'm like Stebiz, I've spent a lot of time on this thread trying to keep up when I haven't been doing my own homework by comparing what I need to stock up on on asda, tesco, mysupermarket. I've happily posted deals that I've found for other people to take advantage of but I just don't agree with the spreadsheet. That said, I doubt the spreadsheet owners are going to be convinced by the points that have been put forward against it to date so I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree :).
