personally, i don't think you'll have any problems as the voucher was issued before the cap was introduced. tesco staff SHOULD be aware of this......but they probably won't be.

it really depends on your local store and your checkout worker.

@stebiz - doesn't sound like your store is clued up on their own offer! it's a shame that some people receive such awful service. :(

it has been mentioned a few times, but the best checkout worker to go to is your <20 year old spotty teenager; of the male variety.

i always try and look out for these; if they are flirting/chatting with the <40 year old female sales assistant too, then you have hit the jackpot.

they're also the ones that never give you green clubcard points, despite pointing out that you have re-used bags.

even if this checkout worker has the longest queue, i will quite happily join it.

    :)

Same here... until a 'helpful' supervisor comes along and says.. 'there's an empty checkout up here if you would like to follow me'
and i'm then when i look over and see, i'm thinking... heeeeelp, thats a 30 odd year old female jobsworth!!

I used a £20 voucher lastnite. the old dear on the till shouted over to customer services ive got one of them vouchers here.. with that everyone in tescos turned round and looked at me like a bad smell. the supervisor came over and told her what to do with it, she took the voucher of me and said what a scam... i then said well if tescos keep overcharging me i will be using some more. i took my receipt and said see you tomorrow:rotfl:

  • I have on more than one occasion asked about trading in at CEX and told that they are 'not doing cash right now' (cash-flow etc) so only exchange vouchers.

I'd hate to be landed with a new DS only to have to get a trade-in voucher (for probably more than £206 but only redeemable at CEX), or to have to wait to get cash and watch the £206 reduce. Risky business :(

Agreed. But I did go into CEX and check first. I was back there within half an hour. I suppose it depends on logistics for people.
