i dont have an asda close to me.. and even if i did i still wouldnt bother going to the hassle just to screw one company over another, its obvious some items will always be cheaper in other stores and to base your entire shopping list over whats cheaper where is quite silly.. carry on buying those magnums which you may not have bought otherwise and see the effect on your diet!

    That was rather unneccessary

I'm catching up on the thread after being at work all day (and doing a cheeky shop at Tesco on the way home!) but thought I'd mention something a supervisor at my store said today - they'd had someone in 'reusing' a voucher. Apparently, something flagged up on the till. It was a capped £20 one, so perhaps these newer vouchers can trigger something if used more than once?

I only found out as I had a voucher for the same amount, but thankfully mine scanned through just right :D

Will post my shop when I read the 20+ pages I am behind!

I used one, my wife used 1, no problems Sun, they were't capped ones though.

Bakers Complete Liver and Bacon 6kg £12.09 in Tesco £8.00 in Asda that's £8.16 DTD! I'm going to buy some when my vouchers (hopefully) come through! :D This forum's great wish I'd discovered it ages ago! Gonna make it my mission to try and never spend cash in the supermarket again. Although with the £100 cap that may be a bit difficult, but to coin a phrase "every little helps!" :rotfl:

Well being a glutton for punishment I have rung them again. This time had a friendlier soul on the telephone so asked how long vouchers were taking for processing as mine had been submitted Friday but hadnt heard anything (also made out I wasnt expecting anything - lie, lie, lie). She said there maybe was a backlog and offered to check for me, so I gave her the receipt details (awkward) and she said its still processing (er, yes, I knew that duh). She said it might help 'jog the other one along' (eh?) and that I would get the original one back first (completely lost me now). I just said thanks and bye. Still no clearer than I was before.
Please God, help me stop spending!

  • tesco are being cheeky coz my hardy's crest chardonnay came back as n/a but someone else who bought it on sun as well got their DTD this afternoon.

similarly read about olay aqua physics being n/a for someone but DTD (read - hideously overpriced) for some other lucky person. there seems to be no sense in anything - complete hit-and-miss affair!?

planning to buy the lamb this eve. any lamb-related experiences appreciated :)

OOoooooooo get you, obviously you don't have to stick to budget or to watch what you spend.
It's not about 'screwing' a company over, it's about voting with your feet to get the best value for a pound that you can and if a company decides to give you a little bonus then people are going take them up on their very kind offer.

I see no point in passing more of my hard earned money to a multi-million pound organisation who are based off shore for tax reasons than I have to.

Oh and only people who are paranoid about the way they look need to be on a diet, we who are comfortable about ourselves have no need to be miserable.

    Pass me the Cornettos someone
