Nice one. Or give it to your Mum, as suggested. We all make mistakes. At least you've acknowledged yours. :TAsk me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -

on one receipt i had a 5 pack of snickers that came up as n/a even though it was definitley showing up on asda as cheaper but i didn't try & return or phone cs hassling them for my dtd :rotfl: i just thought oh well i did really good on the rest of my shopping
I wouldn't return something if I'd already inputted it for price check. I'm returning shampoo later (cheaper at Asda) but haven't price checked it so I don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong as paid cash for it and not a voucher. If I hadn't had to get an overcharge rectified (different items) then I would've submitted a price check for the shampoo but I wouldn't do it now as I suspect the overcharge would confuse the dtd amounts and I would possibly be given more than entitled to which IMO is fraudulent. I'm not prepared to pay over double for shampoo if I don't have to though! Does that make any sense? Lol
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs :beer:0 -

I fully agree with everyone saying its wrong and its fraud and thats all totally true. BUT you probably will just brush that off (as im sure you already knew that its risky or you wouldnt be asking advice) so can I just remind you of another post i read not long ago. Its on the boots thread. I am not quoting it so sorry if I get some details wrong, BUT, some woman returned something to boots (she had bought it there legit and everything). She didnt have a receipt so they gave her a gift card and she went on her way. Then the security guard pulled her on the way out, made her empty her bag and rang the police. They said that apparently people stealing and then returning the goods (with no receipt) is now a common problem and they are currently going through it via court i believe. She even found the receipt when she got home, and gave it to them. But (i believe) this landed her in more trouble as the receipt showed the item had been 20p or so less than the refund they gave her (current shelf price). So this poor woman is currently going through hell, just because she tried to return something.
So with Tesco being on their guard at the moment, and stories going round of them having CCTV snaps of people and them refusing vouchers left right and centre, I would be VERY careful your not handing them a scapegoat on a plate, and I would not return it. Give it to someone or sell it to a friend. Mothers day is coming up, im sure someone will buy it. HTH0
