How do you search by item number. I can't think because my brains currently pickled in wine.

    Thanks

Just cut and paste (or type) the above number in the search facility on Tesco.com and hey presto. ;)

Taking things back is beyond money saving, when you are paying so little for things why would you take something back and possibly highlight it to staff and surely they mark the receipt to show returned, so then you would have further problems if using that receipt for dtd!!!

I was so nervous shopping and felt like i was doing something wrong, i wouldnt dare return if dtd didnt work!!!
i probably could return things if i wanted to as in my local they have never even asked to see my receipts but would never do it though

I personally find the lengths some are going to ridiculous, I am going to do some dtd shopping along with same price things I need, this is how I always do it I think the people picking up 12 of an item as it's good dtd just highlight it to T's quicker and then they can say it's not in the spirit of it and pull it. If any of my items don't work then I will take it on the chin I would never return the item, this is at the end of the day a gamble and you couldn't say in a casino I didn't win I want my money back. Some people are too greedy and gonna spoil this for us all.

i agree, my shops have always been 'over' the voucher amount of course with the dtd items in there :D, have been lucky i suppose that the 'extras' iv been buying along with the dtd have all either been price matched or n/a so same amount back... yes there is an outlay on top of voucher amount but i feel a lot more confident having a longgggg receipt and voucher for £20 than i think i would with 4 items costing £22 on receipt and £20 voucher... thats just personal tho and am a bit of a woos lol
On the road to financial freedom.... one MSE penny at a time....:T
  • popped into my local tesco yesterday armed with my list but chickened out and only bought a few things that i know i will def use and dont mind payin extra for if it doesnt work lol.....think i need to be more of a risk taker and just bite the bullet and do it ...never had a problem arguing in store when they refused dtd lol

I insisted they sign mine and then I tore them up- Im worried incase someone got hold of them, input details and reprinted it in the hope that they wouldn't check receipt properly- then someone else could commit fraud on my behalf! I worry about everything! Lol- Hubby says I'm a nightmare! :)
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs
