Talking of old comps and vouchers.

I found the bit out of the Daily Express the other day for a £5 garden token and realised I'd never received it. Of course I've cut out the bit with any contact details on. Did others get this? Would anyone know how to take it up with Daily Express? I seem to remember ringing a third party, so probably no chance now...

Morning mad and everyone else :D
    Supposed to be nice today.

Hmm, I heard that on Five Live yesterday morning and a couple of us were talking about it at work 21 degrees or something. Think we were being "had"! 1st April....

Feels rather cool and breezy here and I'm just down the road from you.

Well Im not sure which Boots coupons they are talking about, myself I have had the Boots £5 off till spits which you have to use on expensive Olay etc facial items and also the £5 off No 7 but I cant imagine T would take these. I have only ever had Co-op conditional spends so I am not really much help here.

most of the Olay range you can actually make a small profit on in Tesco using the DTD. People on MSE have compiled a spreadsheet of useful finds - check yourself before you go though and remember nothing guaranteed with Mr T. Wonder if that's why Tesco call it a price check and Asda call it a guarantee....:rotfl:

Just got back from a round shopping trip Asda, T's Farmfoods. Went out without my usual coupons/vouchers:eek: so just got what I needed.

I did have a voucher from the Daily Express this morning that I picked up on my way out. It was for a free bottle of Barbara Daly nail varnish £3 (only redeemable from T's). You could choose any colour but the only ones I saw were blue, green, purple, lilac and an orangy one. Not sure which DD would have preferred so went for the lilac one.

Express is normally only 70p, so may be worth it, especially if you need to make up a conditional spend. :)

I received an email from Tesco - not good news for me about conditional coupon for co-op

    "Dear Aesop

Thank you for your email. Firstly, I’d like to apologise for the delay in getting back to you. Please let me assure you that we always try to respond to our customers' queries in a timely manner and I’m sorry that due to high volumes of contact, this has not happened on this occasion.

I'm sorry that we didn't accept the competitor spend vouchers that you attempted to use. While these are accepted as a company rule, it is up to the individual Store Manager whether or not they will be accepted at the store.

I understand that this is frustrating and disappointing, and can mean that you pay more for your shopping than expected.

I'm also sorry about the confusion over the climate week bag. I haven't been able to find any details of this offer myself, but I do know that we are doing different things to promote climate week.

I would like to offer you a £10.00 Tesco Moneycard to make up for these issues. If you are happy to accept this please can you forward me your full address details so that I can arrange it as soon as possible.

oh well - shrugs shoulders. Will have to spend it at Co-op instead and there was a huge sign at the front of the store about the climate week bag. Should have taken a photo but my battery was low.

I will accept the Moneycard.... :D:p

Got my DTD voucher for £13,.30 and just used it in town at larger T's...they had the Dettol and the Magnums...got 1 of each Magnum, 2 x Dettol and 4 more Cherry coke 8 pack...should generate a DTD voucher 0f £20., although it works out at £20.04...very pleasing result, I got a few other things that would be same price in Asda so as not to affect my DTD...
...also used my M&S moc and put £1 towards 5 pairs of knickers...got another free colour from Superdrug...my friend got one for me yesterday,as she always has her hair coloured at the hair dressers ......back home now to check out the sale of hols on Thomas Cook website...maybe 2 weeks in Madeira...called in travel agents to make sure the hol is really cheaper online and it is almost £400 cheaper if I book it now...they want £500 deposit...Cosmos will only take max of £600 towards any hol using their deals vouchers now....I thought it was still £800 with vouchers x 3 instead of 4.....but not so..def max £600 now....I can get 5* in Thomas Cook sale for same price as 4* with Cosmos....lets hope they still have some rooms left...chose one hotel last night and it had gone this morning....

    Poor Aesop,

It's up to you if you want to challenge this (whilst accepting your giftcard of course :)) but this is an extract of a T-email I received after I was told the same thing by customer services and went a little higher
    ;)

....... regarding acceptance of coupons and that it was down to store discretion to accept competitors' coupons. Let me assure you that this is absolutely not the case.......
