My 70 year old Mum has just been into her local Teso with a small voucher, nice SA called for supervisor who said it need to be checked, fair enough but came back shouting in a loud voice that my Mum was a fraudster - repeatedly! . For goodness sake she's 70 years old and can only just manage to print the voucher let alone make one up. Everyone was staring at her, she left her shopping and walked out in tears, she had a heart attack last year and just doesn't need this she is in bits and can't stop shaking, I hope to God this doesn't bring on another. This is completely unacceptable behaviour on Tesco's part. If Tesco send a voucher to be printed and used in store surely they should accept it without putting honest customers through this, we don't know why she thought it was a fake but it wasn't. Wish it had happened to me instead:mad:

That is just so awful. Are you near her Tesco's? I'd be down there like a shot taking names and pictures, and sending an email saying you are following this up with a letter...

edited to add, d!mn I'd take out my phone and record anything she says...

If I were you, I'll go back to the store - demand to see the Manager show them the voucher as well as print out dtd receipt. And after sorted out with the Manager - I would walk up to the Supervisor & shout as loud as I can - telling her where to shove her mouth!! Then I'll go home & call Dundee:D

Customer services have rang back and said sorry she was in the right and she is going back to the store to get an apology off the manager.
No financial compensation offered but I think she wants an apology more

Well it's good they are going to apologise, but to me that is something beyond putting right by a gift card. I am just staggered by Tesco's CS...

Speechless in fact. I hope they give a big bunch of flowers with that apology. And still email HO...they need to know this is happening.

Poor you and your mum
