Have a lovely, lovely time, Hypno - I *really* hope the ash cloud doesn't interfere with your plans.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Best way to blow a bonus - a bit of sensible spending , some fun spending for the family and some away for FUTURE FUN - makes me smile thinking about how different your plans are this year Hypno - long may it last
Hope you enjoyed your outing in white dress and unmentionables

Ah yes, I had a very lovely day yesterday
I am a very lucky girl
Quite different this evening - I had to go to my Grandmother's to go through her will, and her wishes for her cash when she dies. We have a very complicated family, as many do I guess, but it means that it is not ever going to be as straightforward as the piece of paper that says "last will and testament" might imply.......and as Executor, it is up to me to ensure that it all gets done in the way she wants, which may not be that easy.
ho hum, the ups and downs of life! Still, hopefully it will be some time yet before I need to administer another estate.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hypno - must be really hard to talk about your grandmother's will with her. I guess it's lovely that she trusts you with such an important job. I do hope that the family will respect that.
It also reminds me that I must do mine - mum didn't havd one and it made life harder for us as a family- the great thing is that we all stuck together .
Se- hello! And thanks for the advice. I was bitten silly in February so wull have to be prepared and eat some marmite too! Will definitely look into that Sicilian as I am vegetarian and Italian is often a good comprominse for me and DH. Might get the hotel to book us in for Sat night which is our anniversary.
Will probably catch up after our respective breaks - tomorrow is going to be manic. We've realised we have no travel insurance and haven't even thought about packing! Ho hum!0 -
Enjoy your break, Urg! As for packing - I am queen of throwing a few things into a bag at the last minute!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Urg - they post the menu outside, so the first time we went we chose it based on the menu. Can't remember what their veggie options were, they do lots of fish/shellfish, with Sicily being an island so it naturally effects their cuisine, it depends on what sort of vegetarian you are as to if you eat those. It could be worth doing a walkby just to check there's something you like on the menu especially with it being your anniversary - they do have a specials board inside too.0
