I am sure it will be lovely - I love Paris, so if Rome is as good or better, then it will be ace. And of course there is plenty of time in the future to go to these places with someone other than my mum :rotfl:

oh and all Italian men* are great flirts, you and your mum will have a great time ;):) we did! Although of course I was a nubile young student at the time and my mummy is/was rather glamorous.....

    * apologies to any non-flirtatious Italian men who object to being called flirtatious! :)

I've been to Rome twice - first time with my then-HTB, second time with my mother (79) and sister. Both times were fantastic, and I'd go back again. Take flat shoes, both times we walked ourselves to a standstill, and saw some fab sights. Ate at a great restaurant 1st time round, owned by rugby players. They knew how to serve good food! 2nd time round, a lovely "caff" treated my mother like their own mama, and when she couldn't get on with something they served they cooked her a different dish based on whatever she said she liked, yumyum. Paris is ok, Rome is divine :)
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Divine sounds just, well, divine, Satchmo!

Today, in preparation for another busy week ahead of me, will be a day where the patio beckons....the sun is due to shine all day, so that will do me just nicely.

Have a good weekend everyone x
