Hi everyone,
I am another girl that put herself through a waxing yesterday - legs, etc... but it's always worth it to feel a bit prettier for a while if you know what I mean...
It's £25-30 each time and something that I am always going to try to find the money for, even if I have to scrimp elsewhere.
I'm going to try and go out for a walk/jog later too but I am scarily tired this weekend. Out two nights in a row, my poor body can't cope.
Right off to make lunch! Tuna pesto pasta anyone? I'll be making a bucket load! Can we pretend that aeroplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars, cause I could really use a wish right now...0 -
Of course, I have had some pretty bleak times, but then we all have those, and you have to have them and deal with them in order to appreciate the better times and to keep things well and truly in perspective.
This is so true but it takes courage and perserverence not to be crushed by the bad times and you have plenty of that.
Happy Easter

patman, if you are doing all that walking, the scales won't show the full picture - I have learned now that the numbers on the scales are only one indicator of health and fitness....I am sure you are doing fine!
KT, I pay just over £40 for the works - including eyebrows - and for me it is worth it. Now that I have found the money in my budget to do this, I certainly do not want to give it up!
DT, I know what you mean about not allowing yourself to be crushed by the bad times - I think you can count yourself in that camp too x
SF, and everyone else, I hope you have had a good Easter Sunday. Mine has been spent almost entirely on the patio - although the sun has now moved round, and I have come in to cook dinner. The smell of BBQs outside is amazing, but we are doing the indoor version!
DS wants to ski this evening, so we will pop down there for an hour or so.....which will round the day off nicely.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Last day of the long weekend.......*sigh* I know we have only 3 days at work before the next 4 day weekend, but I could quite happily have a few more days off, I have to say!
Have applied for my Olympics tickets this morning.....whether I actually get anything I want is debatable of course, but time will tell. I hope I get at least one of the sessions I would like as I do love the Games.
Got up this morning to find half a mouse deposited outside my bedroom door - goodness only knows where the other half will turn up  It is the first time my cat has brought such a thing in, so I hope she is not going to start making a habit of it.....yuk!
Today I need to go to the tip this morning, then it is football and pub this afternoon which I am very much looking forward to. This is likely to be the last day of good weather here for a few days so it will be nice to be able to sit outside after the match for a while.

And so to the end of another superb day.
Went to the tip and got rid of a load of stuff this morning, which was quite cathartic.....hopefully it will encourage me to take some more stuff over the coming weeks. Then had an hour on the patio, making the most of the sun, before heading out for the game. A very tense 90 ish minutes resulting in a last minute of stoppage time winner to keep us clinging on to an automatic promotion spot. 2 games of the season left to play, and everything to play for.
Just a quick drink in the pub after, as I was offered a lift home so able to avoid either the bank holiday bus timetable or the cost of a taxi, so a very MSE day all in all.
Will cook something for dinner, and then collapse on the sofa with my book before heading for an early night ahead of work in the morning.
Happy Easter everyone - hope it has been as good a weekend for you all as it has been for me.

Was thinking of you when watching Final Score as they went to QPR (?) and were showing the crowd running on the pitch at full time, and then the Norwich result came in, and nobody seemed to know what to do.

yes, if we hadn't won today, QPR would have been champions-elect......but as it was, they should know not to count against Norwich pulling out a last gasp winner - we have done so on many occasions previously this season to spoil other people's parties!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
