I will find the first half very tough, for all sorts of reasons.....but I will reward myself with the second half, by which time I am sure I will be very glad I made the effort this morning.

And with that, I had better find my running kit and get a move on!

Reddie (RMC) has been M.I.A. since the end of March. I sent her a PM, but have received no reply. I'm assuming that she has her reasons, but she didn't give any indication that she was considering not posting any more, so I have my fingers crossed that she is OK, but has been waylayed for some fairly innocuous, but time-consuming reason.

    Thanks Hypno and Pickle.

I really do worry about people who disappear, there was a lovely girl on the SAID thread- she started it all but then suddenly just stopped posting and i knew she was having a hard time of it re money and I know how soul destroying that can be. I don't mind if people leave(cos you know they do NEED my permission ;) )as they are debt free or sorted out in some way but when they disappear I conjure up all sorts of things......

right best get a move on. Have a good day all and Hypno I hope your legs hold out - I am sure they will xxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

I've been worried about RMC too..perhaps she'll pop back sometime
  • Hope the run went as well as it could x

I was worried about RMC as I know what her job is and round here we have lost 13 of the same role just in one county. I hope she will reappear at some point and let us know how she is.

Hi Hypno - hope your run is smooth for you x as you say a lovely thing for the running club to have named this after your father and great that the money raised is all for charity.

Also as others have posted hope RMC is ok too.

Advice please - hypno hope you don't mind me posting this on your thread but as you get lots of traffic through here i was hoping someone could help me?

I have a car which is currently not running :( and I am in the process of cleaning it and wanted advice on how to clean damp out of leather?:eek::eek: currently I'm just washing off what will come off and then i'm going to let it dry out too. I've got the doors open on it to let it air. Next job will be purchase of tyres  Oh and maybe a new battery as I said its not running :( Any advice on getting it running or good places for tyres for limited edition cars would be great too :D

DDFW, I reckon someone on OS will be able to give you the perfect cleaning answer! Head over there and put out a plea and you will have a superbly clean car in no time!

Re RMC - over the years, lots of posters have suddenly disappeared - some come back, some do so under different user names, and for a number of reasons. The main thing is that RMC knows what a great place this is for support, so if she needs us, she will return, and I am sure she will do so, even if it is only in a lurking capacity.

I did my run - just under 62 mins, so am happy with that given it is only 5 days since I did the marathon! It was rather emotional but that is what got me through, and I am very pleased I made the effort. Currently sitting on my patio with the sunlotion, the radio on, and a book close to hand.

I hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday xx

Well done on your second brilliant run in less than a week !

Am back in UK again - arrived in on the red-eye from Washington at 10 this morning. Second load of washing is on already!

Will be updating my own diary in a few days as now feel ready to re-join the gang! I've kept up but not really posted since Christmas

Have a lovely afternoon in the sun - I'm trying hard to find things to do as I know that if I sit down I'll fall asleep which is not a good idea

    Enjoy xx
  • DDFW - you need to get a leather cleaner such as Autoglym, you can get it in Halfords. Do not use too much, wipe off with a dry cloth. It may take a few attempts to sort. Do not oversoak the leather or leave to dry in direct sunlight as this will draw all the moisture out of the leather and cause more damage.

For tyres, the make of car is not relevant. You just need the tyre size and a phone book. If they are a rarer size such as a really wide or low profile be prepared to pay a fortune. PM me details of the car as if it is high performance etc you will need a certain rating of tyre, or really should only stick to certain brands or risk a crash in poor conditions even at slow speed.

Sorry for essay but I do know a bit about cars ;)

    Hypno - well done x
