Morning all - payday today.....early because of the bank holidays so will need to ensure it lasts long enough - will get the envelopes out when I get to work!

Football tonight, Norwich v Ipswich.....the biggie......it is an away match, and I don't have a ticket, but they are beaming it back to our ground too and there are thousands of us going there to watch, so should still be a good atmosphere.

So.....that is it really - last day at work for a long weekend......boy do I need that!

Have a good day everyone x

I've got to wait to next Wednesday to get paid - it's going to be tight!!!! Thankfully DH got paid today so I may tap him for a few quid!

Have a great time at the footy - DH is a season ticket holder for Spurs and came home after a great game yesterday (sadly we didn't win but he was pleased with how the team played).

Have a great day and weekend if I don't get a chance to come back before I head off for the weekend.

On checking my bank accounts I see that I have been paid for my last teaching workshop too, so that is very welcome as it constitutes "fun" money :D

Fun money unlike "funny money" as my dad always called credit cards ;). Bet you didn't imagine you'd be posting that before you joined MSE!

Well, it really is not that long ago that the teaching money would have been "survival" money.....now it really is a bonus to be used for far more fun things, and certainly does remind me of just how far I have come over the last few years!

    :D

    Hello!

I hope you don't mind me joining in. I've just read thoughthis diary. I am not going to go back and read your others, not because I am not interested but because I am trying to be forward focused these days. It is interesting to get the snippets of your past as they come up though.

Well done on your marathon time! That was really great. I am doing the womens 10K in a couple of weeks and I'm starting to panic a little. Not that I won't finish, I did it in 2007 so I know I can get to the end but this time I so wanted to run the full thing without slowing to a walk but I know in my heart of hearts I'm not going to manage this time. I just can't quite turn myself into a runner, or someone that loves running... But I really want to be that person! How do you get there?!

You are an inspiration because you have found balance. Thanks for showing me that it can be done.

One other thing from reading through, I am the adult kid of divorcing parents. There really REALLY isn't a good time for parents to split. I just wish my parents had done it like you have. (mum left 2 years ago yesterday, the divorce still isn't sorted... and now they can't even talk to each other now) You have done great by your kids, I hope you know that and that they know (maybe not now but some day) how lucky they are to have you too.

Thanks for the diary, hopefully I'll pop in from time to time if that's ok.
