Well done Hypno and Pania :T
Your time was really good Hypno - I watch every year on the telly and just dont know how you guys do it. I once ran a half marathon and thought I had trained quite well until I couldnt walk properly for a week afterwards! And you raised some great cash for the charity0 -
Well done on the marathon, Hypno! xPlease call me 'Pickle'

Thanks guys - so back to reality today, although it is now the first of a few short weeks as the bank holiday run kicks in, which is a bonus.
My legs are somewhat stiffer today than they were yesterday....to be expected, but still not as bad as in previous years so I am happy with that. It is the stairs that are the biggest problem, so I will try and keep those to a minimum today! I did a fair bit of walking yesterday so hopefully that will help keep things moving over the next few days.
Payday on Thursday I think - so just need to make the cash in my purse last a couple more days.
I hope all is well with you guys xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Morning Hypno!
Fantastic run and to beat your goal time is even more fantastic! Hope the legs make it through the day. I imagine sitting for long periods would stiffen them up!
Have a lovely Tuesday!

Thanks, urg, I was absolutely made up with the time as it was something I had been aiming for ever since that first marathon way back in 1991! Only took me 20 years to achieve, but hey, I got there
I am very glad that I took yesterday off work, though - last time, I went straight back to the office which was a mistake - not just on a physical level, but on a mental/emotional level too.....hopefully this time I am a little more grounded in myself. Time will tell! Ibuprofen will definitely be required though, that much is for sure!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Although I find a few large drops of Bombay Sapphire in tonic water eases them just as wellSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
