Thanks FW - it is looking increasingly as though it will :)

So.....today I am deciding that whatever I do, I will CHOOSE to do it. If there is something I don't like, or don't want to do, I will not be afraid to say so, or to take action so that it I don't end up just doing stuff because it is easier to do so than to face what I really want.

Of course, I am at work - there are some things that have to be done, even if you don't want to do them as such, but I am here because I CHOOSE to be here, so that sorts that one out.

I am taking control of my life. World watch out.

    :D

wow good luck Miss Hypno. Hope what ever it is comes off. I agree about the choosing to do things. Unfortunately it doesn't help when the things you would rather choose NOT to do are fairly major. Like stay in this country....

I disagree - you choose to stay. However tough that choice is, whatever you are taking into consideration, at the end of the day, you choose that course of action.

Take my marriage, for example. Ex and I would both agree now, that there was plenty wrong with it. In fact, very little was right with it for such a long long time. But the fact was, that I CHOSE to stay. My reasons may not have been ones that I would use NOW, but at the time, it was what I chose to do.

If you really want to leave NZ you can do so. If you stay, you have reasons to do so and choose that course of action.

Those reasons may change over time, and your choices may therefore also change.

Hope you see where I am coming from - it may not be put across that well I'm afraid!!

    Ooh!

Actually, thats a conversation I often have. We can freely choose to do something we don't want to do otherwise for any number of reasons - duty, for instance. Thats the reason that comes up most often - you know, I love my mum so I'll take care of her, even tho I don't want to do X, whatever X is, however big or little.

Sounds like you've had a huge LBM! Hurray for Hypno!

Still unravelling those layers, KC......but acknowledging what I find, dealing with it, and accepting stuff in a way that perhaps I've not done before.

Quite empowering, quite emotional, and quite exciting.

Just a quick question. Love the process that you are going through at the moment. Some of what is coming up makes so much sense. Hope you don't mind me asking but are you following a set process, book etc. I would love to go through this process myself and just wondered if you have any tips/how to start etc

Hypno, I have a new mantra these days. You may want to adopt it. It's 'That doesn't suit me'. Not in the clothes sense, I should know how all that works by now but in the 'I dont want to do that/dont want to do that at that time' sense. Alas, I had to learn this after working with a VERY entitled woman in my last role, but I have to say I like it!

P.S I still use 'Get out of my way, I'm fabulous' if the occasion arrives!
