Hi Souk - hope you had a good holiday too!

So.....today has been very productive in a non pressured way, which I am very pleased about.

I unpacked another box, and made a couple of decisions re cupboards and furniture which doesn't sound much, but is actually fairly big. Also tackled a couple of boxes of paperwork, and all the piles of papers that have started to creep in.....sorting them out properly, and ending up with a very small pile of outstanding stuff that I must do this week, but that isn't daunting.

Generally pottered - made delish dinner, all washing and ironing up to date, beds changed etc. I don't think I have stopped all day, but don't feel as though it has been a bad day at all :)

  • Evening Hypno, I thought of you last night when I went into my bedroom and looked at the mess of the huge ironing pile and all the clutter that had ended up in there yet again. It reminded me of when you were in the old house, still debt busting, running round madly, making ends meet. Instead of feeling miserable I thought, yes, when I get myself up and running again, I'll be OK and one day the ironing pile will be gone - most of it to charity I suspect :).

    Thank you x

PS Glad you had a fab holiday.

Hi Me - in some ways it seems like another world I lived in back then! Things are so different now - nothing is as daunting any more and therefore gets tackled before it becomes a problem. I am not completely clutter free, there will always be room for improvement, but compared with the past, it is an amazing difference.

The old "stuff" got me down so much. I always knew that it was having an effect on my mental wellbeing, but it is only now that I look back that I appreciate the change so much. Now, because I know it is part of my true feel good factor, I find it easier to do the tasks that, quite frankly, used to either terrify me or depress me further.

Similarly, it seems so long ago that the MSE/DFW stuff was all encompassing and took over my life. I will never be rid of it - it is something that you need to keep with you in order to stay in focus, but I cannot imagine doing what DDFW is doing with all those mystery shops etc......even though it is only a few months since I was doing exactly the same thing myself!!

Of course, it isn't that simple for me - there have been more lifechanging elements in the last year or two that have had impacts, but it is all part of the big picture.

Keep going - you will get there x

  • You did so well and achieved so much and like you say, other things happened along the way, but you are still here supporting everyone else, plus having mad parties with Jonny Depp in the basement ;), one day I'll do the same, but can I please have Jason Statham :A

    Back to reality.......

Now that I am back at my desk, and have trawled through the 3 million emails that have been sent to me while I was away, I can confirm that I do, actually, feel quite refreshed from my break.

    Long may it last!!

Oh, and Nero avoided again, so money transferred to the Rome pot......I'm still with the programme!!

Hi Hypno! Lovely posts last night there :) and I'm so glad France was so refreshing for you. Very weird to be able to drop all the mystery shops and whatnot - me too, of course, on that. I really can't imagine how I coped with all of that ....

Hope you sail through the 3 million emails as easily as you sailed through your own paperwork yesterday :)
