  • ouch ouch ouch..... I have done something similar although slightly more dramatic in execution as I landed on said finger when crashing my motorbike :rotfl: I hear it's a common thing for basketball players too, so no need to let on how it happened, you can make something exciting up :D

I went to a posh dinner when I was strapped up although I had a cast as I broke a few other things in my hand too. The whole thing was attractively wrapped in a black/giraffe print silk scarf from Jasper Conran (Debenhams admittedly) which was purchased specially for the occasion. It went beautifully with the Karen Millen frock I had squeezed myself into :D

It was the end of season racing ball so needless to say I wasn't the only one sporting a cast :rotfl:

ouch ouch ouch again, and definitely get those tears out, your body needs to get rid of all those stress hormones :(

On my way back to work. Too much swelling to do anything other than put a splint on. I've got an appt to go back next week.

Could you put some lovely evening gloves on for tonight and resist giving the others 'the finger' when they take the Michael out of you :)

Owwwwwwwwwwwww..................... and it wasn't even when you were doing press ups!! Definitely need an exciting reason making up in time for the post do. I reckon, if nothing else is the cause, you will be the centre of attention (especially if you have fancy gloves on) for a while so make the most of it with some funny story to hand.

The new splint put on by the hospital is slightly less obtrusive than the one put on at the walk in centre, so I will leave it as it is, unadorned for now.

I need to persevere with Shred though - can't let a stupid injury like this stop me listening to Jillian's dulcet tones.

Although perhaps tomorrow I will let the snooze button win, and will shred in the evening instead!!

Right, best get on with some work now!!
