Living life, loving life.......hypno's having a ball!

I am still running a bit - but obviously not as much as I was prior to the Marathon.....somehow I don't have the urge to run 18 miles first thing on a Sunday morning right now
:p:p
So, whilst not completely unfit, I am a long way from my best. Or that is the way it feels, at least! A little toning up won't do me any harm whatsoever!!
I do quite like Shred, I have to say - love the fact it is over and done with and I am in the shower in under half an hour!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
having a very low boredom threshold, I love the fact that with the Shred, I am never doing anything for more than about 30 seconds before changing to something else0
-
I like that about it too lionhearted girl :T :T
(as for the under 30 mins thing, I'm generally too busy being resentful of the fact that it says '20 minute shred' on the front, and the dvd actually lasts 27 minutes:rotfl: :rotfl:)
And I usually turn the volume off entirely and listen to some rock and roll - far more fun that her shouting at me and that dreadful music :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
I have to admit, I did think about having something else on in the background instead of her choice of music.
And I am right there with you - 27 mins is sooooo not a 20 min workout!!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Just playing catch up! Yippee to tax refund, hot men giving you their number, Prada glasses and firm thighs :j
Did chuckle at the 27 minute thing of Shred as I do feel every minute but it does really work. I have to do my exercise in the early am cos when I get home I just want to collapse on sofa and / or drink wineLooking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

I failed at shred.......
I had an impromptu invitation from a girlfriend to go to an art exhibition, so dashed home from work, got changed and headed straight out. The exhibition was until 9pm so I guessed that my 27 mins of hell could take place after that.
Now, if I tell you that it is Pride week here, you can perhaps guess what theme the exhibition took.....especially if I also tell you that it was held at a store for over 18s only
Some very colourful characters there partaking of the free wine and canapes :rotfl: I was driving so not drinking but it was great fun.
The guy who owns the shop is a friend of a friend, and at the end of the evening asked me and a couple of mutual girlfriends (that sounds sooooo wrong given the theme of the evening!!) to go to a wine bar after he'd cashed up - so we did, and had a blast. I was only drinking diet coke, so fairly cheap, and obv I have no hangover this morning, but boy am I tired as it really did end up being a very late late night.
Needless to say, Shred didn't get done - and the snooze button won 3 times this morning too.
I will also be very very surprised if I manage to bypass Caffe Nero this morning on my way to work.....I need all the help I can get today
So, I fail on all levels.
All levels, that is, other than the "living life, loving life" front :T
Have a good day everyone xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Ahh well you took one for the team, well done you. I'm still wondering when I'll get a social life, sure I've put it in a safe place.

Loving the way your throwing yourself into livng up to your "Loving Life" title
Instead of Cafe Nero, how about investing in a cafetiere and some real coffee. If you keep the coffee in your desk drawer you also get the bonus of the lovely smell whenever you open the drawer, although the drawback could be that the smell tempts you into an excess consumption of caffeine.
Do you have access to Costco? Their own ground coffee if yummy, and well priced. Also, they do a big container of spicy couscous that is ideal for lunch when one leaves ones packed lunch at home.
Have a great day, and be considerate of your colleagues by not snoring if you doze off.
Satchmo xWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
We are negotiating having a proper coffee maker in the office.....:)
But today, Nero won, and boy does it taste good! No costco near us.
As for the social life - well, it has been a long time missing, that is for sure - and nights like last night are fab, because they are really "free" (unless you spend money on homosexual art!!).....although I did buy a round of drinks at the end of the evening - a whole £10.20....I do still have to make the effort sometimes not to make an excuse, especially if, like last night, it is more of a "friend of a friend" that is inviting me, rather than one of my closer friends.....but it is only me that can stop me doing things.
Was a great opportunity for people watching and letting your hair down a bit - what more can you ask of a Tuesday evening :cool:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
