I'm part way through season 2 of SATC so a long way to go yet, but am loving what I have watched so far.
I have no intention of giving up the pots - they are helping me to stay focused and that is what is needed for the longer term. Unexpected tax rebates don't come along very often so certainly cannot be relied upon!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. I would say, an unexpected tax rebate at a time that you WANT (never mind need) screams BUY CHANEL to me. As for the opticians service I couldnt agree more. Since moving to Wales I realise how good my optician in my old town was. I had been going to the same one since I was 9 and even though they were a little more expensive I could not fault the service. I am seriously tempted to go back just to have an appointment there. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

I quite agree

My specs weren't cheap either Hypno but I love them. Chanel is the way forward.
Squizz, I dont think Im speaking to you after the SATC comment!!!!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -

Squizz, I dont think Im speaking to you after the SATC comment!!!!:rotfl:I tried, I really did.. but I think some of my girly genes are missing. I will suffer such things though because my best mate likes watching them.. don't get me started on Mamma Mia...

just de-lurking to say fab news on tax refund and SATC box set, and I also need new glasses. I bought some very pretty Oasis ones last year and need a new prescription already so the optician is going to do me a bit of a deal....when I can choose some I like, and get my head round paying for them! I need to do it though, same as you, am getting headaches a lot and I know this isn't helping things.
I am a SATC obsessive. I am most like Miranda, although not as cynical, and I do a have a couple of Carrie-ish traits too
If you watch the first film do not go if it is the wrong time of the month. I went with 2 of my close girlie friends and we all had raging PMT and sobbed like babies!! I won't tell you why, you will see for yourself!
The second film was enjoyable enough but nothing like the TV series
look forward to hearing when the next Rome trip target has been reached!! :j0 -

Know what you mean about the glasses, I'm currently wearing two pairs I got online and they're fine - in fact I really like the shape of them - but it's not the same as getting them fitted properly. Ones with Chanel written on the side sound rather fab
ps I just cannot 'get' SATC - a friend made me sit through the film.. aargh!
What Squizz said re tax rebate:D
And i agree about the film- what was it all about?:rotfl::rotfl: YawnBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
I quite liked the film
Maybe it is a singleton thing
