Definitely is money for nothing, TDQ!

I had a fab night last night - the weather was perfect for the forest, and it was just one of those nights with my fabulous girlfriends that was hilarious from start to finish. Superb in every way :D

To be honest, whilst Westlife were good, we didn't really pay much attention to them - it was one of those nights where it wouldn't have mattered *who* was on stage, within reason - we were just having such a good time! We took a picnic and our own drinks so spends were incredibly low with the cost split between us which made it all even better. Oh, and it offset the £40 I spent in the fatface sale yesterday afternoon on holiday clothes.....!

Photos on facebook for those who are interested......under the album "legal legislation" - including my amazing handstand. This girl's still got it :rotfl:

Glad you had a great night. Sorry to not be able to see the facebook photos. But they sound very good!

Nice one too about savings pots and putting money towards holidays. I have just been reading about the £161 million euro lottery winners. Holy cow that is alot of money. I have always said if I won that much I would stay stum. I am sure they must get so many begging letters big winners like this.

What would you do if you won that much Hypno, stay schtum or go public?

I would definitely want to stay quiet about it. Although it wouldn't take much for someone to make that anonymous phone call to the papers and before you know it the press is camped out and the begging letters will start anyway.......so perhaps going public in a more "controlled" way is actually the better thing to do?

Postman has brought me a nice letter from T-mobile. We had 2 contracts with them and I wrote to cancel one of them at the end of its contract in February, informing them of my change of address at the same time.

It seems that they didn't do this, and so I wrote a reminder last week asking them to look into it. I truly expected one of those "We didn't get your letter, nothing we can do about it" type responses, but actually I got "sorry, we got your letter, we didn't do anything it and the money you've paid since the end of your contract will be with you by the end of the month".

Nice to see that they simply got it wrong, but aren't afraid to admit it, and then quick to do something about it. So well done to T-Mobile in this case.

Upshot is that £110 is coming back to me - nicely in time to use for holiday spending money :D

and dont you just want to carry on dealing with a company who says "we got it wrong - sorry". I have recently had dealings with a financial organisation. They made a mistake, the director rang me to apologise and offered me compensation (albeit small) immediately and I have to say that I wasnt even the remotest bit bothered that they got it wrong because they put it right and apologised rather than my previous experience of denial and then trying to make me feel like it was all my fault. Breath of fresh air when that happens.

Good that yo have a little extra for the holidays too. Loved the photos on facebook - go you with the handstands.

We all make mistakes, whether at home or at work.....to do so is only human and I have no problems (generally speaking) when it happens - as long as it is dealt with in an appropriate way. Do as you would want done, sort of thing!

My handstand was pretty good, even if I do say so myself  Shame the cartwheels I was doing weren't quite as good :o

Not having it - that handstand photo was way too blurred for positive identification. I demand a repeat, with video evidence ;)

Ha - is that a challenge, gallygirl......in which case, be afraid....be very afraid! Pania is coming to stay in a week or so....and I am sure she will oblige with the video camera.....

    :rotfl:

So.....today I am off to IKEA - I have a pretty good idea of what I want/need and have moved a certain amount of money from the savings to the current account - I can't go over that amount because there is no spare money in the C/Acc and no overdraft, so I have to be *fairly* disciplined - if indeed it is possible to be such a thing at IKEA!

Currently cooking the components for a shepherds pie so that it can just be whacked in the oven when I get home, and then off out for drinks with the football crowd this evening.

Have a good day - get out there doing handstands.....it is soooo good for the soul :rotfl:
