Have just banked £50 of bagged up loose change.....there is a further £40 bagged ready to take in another day, and probably another couple of bags close to being full that can go in the next couple of weeks.

This is all spending money for our holiday in France next month and is just literally loose change thrown into a jar in my desk each day. It soon adds up, and hasn't been missed, so I am very pleased with that.

Not quite "money for nothing", but almost.....:D

I didn't actively go out to look, Cheery - I buy my tickets online so I know that if I win, they will tell me automatically.

I was just reading the newspaper this morning and they have a box in one corner that has the thunderball and main draw numbers....I was obviously drawn to it as it contained my numbers, which I have played the same ones for years (!) so they are ingrained in my mind and jumped out of the page at me.....but then I had the sad realisation that my numbers were next to the word "thunderball" rather than the words "main draw".

Ho hum....what you've never had, you won't miss :rotfl:

I did do a double take, that is for sure! Thankfully, it was only a nanosecond's worth of possible excitement before I hit reality again!!

It would *only* have been £5k, V, not £50k.....so not so bad.

It would, however, have paid for a whole term and a bit of uni fees for DD.....

......or allowed me to go mega sale shopping :rotfl:

Ah well - obviously my requests to the universe sometimes get a little lost in translation. Never mind
