    Yes, I think it is important to give people the benefit of the doubt until they do something so obviously anti-social that there is no going back. If I had been in the OP's shoes, I wouldn't have put the rubbish back in the neighbour's bin without speaking to her first.

    Sooooo true, when my recent neighbour moved in she had the music going full blast, was using my bins and cleared my stuff out of our communal shed and I'd put it back in. Weeks later we spoke about the bins and now have a drink together. She's lovely and thinks I am too now, thank god we came to our senses and had a chat. It's not always easy moving.
    Sadly, you don't have any badges yet but keep trying! See what you could get........... oh boo hoo I am crying into my wine. :D

    I only go down when I need to take some things to the house, I knocked many times before but she wasn't in. Glad it's all ok now.
