Congrats to Darwinsmum too. You must feel fantastic!
Unfortunately had a friend round last night who's just become a grandmum and we had a little celebration.
Don't know if this is how it works when you cut down drastically but today, after 3 home poured b&cokes last night, I feel really rough
I was at a funeral this morning at 9.30am and was paranoid about how my breath smelled0 -

Another AF please Shaggy!
Matchday!!!
I will not drink today because....I want to remember the whole day and not have to be reminded of the result by DH in the morning.
Have a great Sunday folks, thanks for all of your support!

Morning all, another AFD yesterday. I sat out in the garden with friends last night, all of whom drank. I explained that I am now af, and was met once again with incomprehenisble silence. One of the friends said that in the last 6 months her alcohol consumption has increased from occassional use to daily. I told her that was the reason that I decided to stop.
As an aside, has anyone else noticed extreme tiredness after reducing/ quitting alcohol?
Have a great day y'all.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task

Good morning!
Blimey, get all of you early risers yesterday!:rotfl:
:hello:Hello BHB! Nice to see you! And Greypilgrim!
Phoenix - hope all is ok? Hope you are getting lots of rest.
Darwins_mum - sorry your friends have yet to grasp why you are doing this. Hopefully they will eventually. And yes, I feel tired for a short while when cutting out alcohol. Alcohol is a stimulant which you are suddenly taking away. This is why some of us (:o) suddenly find the need for sugar (hence my 4 bourbon biscuits so far this morning!). Your body will gradually readjust and you will feel lots more lively!
12 please Shaggy!
Lovely day here yesterday. OH and StepD went to the gadget show and me and Piglet spent the day with my Mum and Dad. It was really relaxing and good fun. Me and Mum took Piglet to the park and we happily sat on the swings while he ran around. The Piglet spent the afternoon working on making a go-kart with grandad (which involved lots of hilarity as Dad insists on calling it a Bogie which is what they were called when he was a boy!) while I sat knittng with my mum. Happy days:)
Back to work tomorrow. Bleugh! Hoping my mellow feeling lasts well into the week!

8 AFD for me please Shaggy!
Darwins_mum, I also feel tired and very rundown when I start making an effort to look after myself. I am hoping to start feeling better soon.
Phoenix Dragon, hope all is well with you and the little one :A.
Miss Piggy, that sounds like a lovely day!
Lala, enjoy the match!0 -
Mis Piggy, Thank you for your clarity. I wondered why I have suddenly started eating chocolate again after so many years of abstinence.
I am looking forward to feeling a bit more lively.
stay well

No problem. This is why I find it very hard to cut down on the alcohol and diet at the same time!!

Morning :hello:
I bought a bottle of white wine to sip last night. I noticed it had the units marked on the bottle :j. There were 9 in my bottle. I drank about 6 units worth (watched REDs - it was fun) and will have the remainder to night.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0
