What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Thank you to ISOM and all the other folk who helped me on my way.
Bismarck I hope you still read this thread sometimes and are keeping well. If it wasn't for you...........

    Fourth AF Xmas coming up!!!!!

Good luck to everyone else cutting down and giving up. You can reach your goals with the help of the good people on here.

Will try to pop in again over Xmas.

    Seasons greetings to you all.

    Take care of YOU
    Love Mollypolly xxxx

    Ditto!

I am now 2 years 2 months sober, life is better beyond description. This time of year can be a little tricky, not because I want a drink but because it's shoved in your face at every opportunity.

I am a great believer that everyone finds the right way eventually. If that is cutting down or giving up .....(cue TV voice) YOU Decide!

Love, peace and happiness to all.

P.s molly I'd like to thank you as one of the people, along with Graham and RA who helped me to where I am now...it's great how the help passes along the line!

  • Evening all, I havent posted for a while, but still lurk occasionally. I am now entering my 8th month AF and life has certainly changed in all directions!
I have never really been one for the yuletide festivities, the time of year is always a low one for me - working on that. I am feeling a bit conscious of myself for the first time as a none drinker (if that makes sense?) "Even non drinkers have a little one to celebrate don't they", has been a bit of regular question over the last 10 days or so. My normal response is "not this one".
Glad to see that some of the "old hands" havent totally disappeared and are dispensing wisdom, wit and a healthy dollop of tlc and support.

    Enjoy your festivities.

The difference for me and the non drinkers who can have one little one over christmas is that that 'little one' won't be the end of it!

Hi All - just popping in to wish you all a very Merry Christmas…….:xmassign:

AF today…..the thought of having a clear head in the morning far outweighed the call of the bells…so I go into Christmas on 15 AFD’s please shaggy

I’m not sure that I’ll notch up many more AFD’s this month but the fact that I’ve managed any at all is down to the amazing support and motivation that's always readily available from you guys….thank you for walking alongside me as I take control of my life again… a far greater gift than any that Santa might bring!!

I hope you have a fantastic Christmas :xmassmile
