Interesting to see everyone elses's panic related to drinking. I've always been in denial about the link until recently. When I think back, they started when I was 18 and was drinking fairly regularly, (fell into bad habits as I was in a band with 3 older guys, sitting around at gigs a lot waiting to play equalled lots of drinking!)0

A bit of an up and down week for me.......for some reason Wednesday night always seems to be a flashpoint for me, and down goes a bottle of red wine without touching the sides. This Weds was sadly no different, so only 3 to report for the SNC this week pls Bearacus and 7 AFDs for Nov so far please Shaggy.
It seems Christmas has begun already in chez cheezy as my OH and I are already consuming an enormous amount of mince pies. Does anyone else find their desire for sweet things, choc, cakes etc goes up when they're not drinking.
Hopefully I won't need a MPC (Mince-pie challenge) and have to avoid them on school nights !!!
Happy Friday night all...............0 -
AF here tonight also making 5 please Shaggy and my 3 nights completed Bearaus.
I also suffer from panic attacks, but mine happen when I'm in the car which is most upsetting. I do find that I'm not as bad if I've not had a drink for a few days. But the thought of going on a long journey (anything over 4 miles ) worries me sensless.
Off to try and sleep now, cos my sleep pattern is totally disrupted at the mo, and another day with the work experience kiddy beckons tomorrow.
I found that my panic attacks stopped and my depression lifted when I had to give up alcohol.
But I still suffer from mild Gephyrophobia.

Can I just say that this thread is fantastic? It is really reassuring reading other people's posts and to know that there are people in similar situations to me. I have decided that I completely want to cut down on drinking as I used to know when I had reached the limit when I was younger and now well to be frank dont. I dont go out drinking very often probably once every two months or so (and I mean go out to a bar kind of drinking and not a glass of wine over dinner) but when I did, I think I would make up for that two month dry patch! I woke up one morning with the mother and daddy and grandparents of a hang over and well decided I didnt like waking up like that and feeling so stupid and so I have decided that since I cant control how much I drink, I can control when I drink. I am taking it slow hence my 21 day AFD but the tortoise didnt beat the hare by sprinting... keep up the good work everyone
I went grocery shopping today and walked away with soda water! sorry for the ramble x

I can't say in all honesty that it's been easy, the bells were positively BOOMING from about 5.30 and I've been as grumpy as h3ll trying to ignore them....but I did and I know that I'm going to feel sooo good for it in the morning.
