Good morning all - despite very loud bells last night, I managed to abstain again, so up to 9 AFD please Shaggy.
I'm finding the best thing for me is just not to have any wine in the house as I'm too lazy to drive out at night and buy any.
Just need to stay away from the booze aisles in the supermarket today !!
Have a good day everyone............0 -
Morning all! I resisted
Im so proud of myself- I got in from work at just gone 10, husband was upstairs having a bath and I plomked myself down on the sofa next to his recently emptied glass and half a bottlle of red. I picked up the glass to check if it was from that evening, sniffed it, and then DIDNT FILL IT UP *yay* I just thought its so late, and I was so tired it would have been drinking for the sake of drinking so I went to bed. Woke up this morning feeling BRILL and so proud of myself. I feel on track for the rest of the week now. I am trying to lose weight and am 9lbs away from my goal so laying off the sauce will no doubt help that too.
Thanks for the lovely welcome- I feel I will fit right in here- my personal best is 3 bottles of wine to myself of an evening but as I said yesterday Ive really reined it in this year but fully intend to still drink like a "normal" person.
I would like 5 AFD for the remainder of Oct please (including yesterday if thats okHave nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.

Hello
I've been MIA for a while, I was really poorly for a couple of weeks and have also been stupidly busy, but now have a week off work and am catching up with everything - including sleep, which is amazing! I've had a drink on 3 days this month, so as long as I stay dry until next Monday means I'll meet my target (if my maths are correct).
I had some wine on Sunday night and felt dreadful yesterday, and really think that my bingeing days are behind me, I just don't want to feel like that.
Hope everyone's well, I'll have a read back now.Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -

:hello: Hello everyone especially the newbies.
I had another AF day yesterday so that's 5 please Shaggy and 1 under my belt for the SNC Bearacus.
It is my stepdaughter's birthday today and we are all going out for a meal so I know I won't be AF. However, I intend to be moderate in my drinking during the meal (partly because the restaurant is quite expensive) then I don't intend to have any more when we get home.
Good luck to all I hope the bells don't ring too loudly.0 -

I wish I could do this but my husband has a worse alcohol problem than I do (I've said in an earlier post I think he is probably an alcoholic). We HAVE to have more wine in the house than we can possibly drink because he can't face running out.
Well done on your AFness so far :T.0 -
Hi Everyone
Was AF last night and will be this eve bringing my total to 17 Af please Shaggy. The bells were ringing like mad last night (i think more so coz i didnt have an AF weekend) so when i came home from work, i made huge choc cake for DH and workmates to keep myself busy. It’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts0 -

Luckily my husband and his mates brew their own cider, which is not my thing, so he can keep that hanging about as much as he likes without any fear of me touching it :rotfl:0 -
