    Hello.

i posted in here a few times a couple of years ago, and found it really helped.

So, I'd like to sign up for 10 AFDs please, if you'll have me again! :D

Like you I have been AWOL a while. Now I will have Radiohead in my mind for a while ;)

Had a nice but strange day with the big family - out and about all day and then back to ours for tea in the garden. A few murmours about the AF collection of drinks available so DH eventually wandered up the local shop to get a bottle. Was nice not to want any (although a bit weird I supose). Expecting to get a few comments this week about being ill or pregnant :rotfl:
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Bearacus if your running the SNC this week could you put me down for the full monty please, I'm working away for 3 days this week & one of the evenings is likely to be a boozy one but I'm going to try to abstain.

Well done everyone on your achievements in July and lots of AF vibes for success in August xx

    Hi All,

No target for August thanks. But I'd like to keep a total.

I've just had 4 days AF in a row; each one was hard (except the first - I had a monster hangover), but each one required me to think about something else, or eat, or whatever. Even when my daughter had played up for a couple of hours then gone to sleep.

AnnieG - really best wishes to you. We've all been there in the aftermath of your "last Friday". Good luck! :)
Can we just take it as read I didn't mean to offend you?

  • Morning all and Happy 1st August :D

For the old timers on here you may remember me - in fact according to my stats its a year this month since I last checked in. That year has been pretty tough for me work wise and consequently my alcohol consumption has got far too high again. I managed to take a good grip of it last year with the support from this thread so Im sneaking back in for another dose and a recognition that my user name is sadly true.

Im not ready to decide on a target yet so I will just take it one day at a time as they say.

Panorama tonight may be of interest to some of you the woman featured has just been on BBC news and its a scary story Dying for a Drink

Anyway Ill keep popping in to update good or bad and hope this time I can make some much needed changes
