    3 for me please Shaggy.

I've been doing AF for a month now and it gets easier - can't believe it's a week since my last drink, it's gone so quick. This time last month a day without alcohol seemed like a lifetime!!:j

Well done eca00opc what a great achievement! :j

3 please Shaggy, and 2 for the challenge Bearacus. Been out tonight and stuck to soft drinks. Also told a couple of people that I wouldn't be drinking for the next few weeks. They all seemed to think it was a good idea if that was what I wanted to do.

I'm sure that wouldn't be good for you mackeroo, cos if you were baking you'd have to be eating!;)

Some really good starts to May on here. Well done all:T
I can't report any AFDs yet:o I had a very small glass tonight when I was out but at least I didn't come home and carry on. Must try harder.

Good evening everyone-hope you are all well. 3 afds and 2 for the snc please. Thanks darwins mum, graemecarter and maman for your kind words. I'm going to do my best to try and find the right decision for me regarding alcohol and go one day at a time at the moment. I'm happy not drinking today. Something graemecarter said in his post really rang a bell with me about the physical craving when even if you stick to 2 to 3 drinks you still crave more. I'm on nights today and went to zumba this evening and really enjoyed it. I find it so much fun that I don't really feel like i'm exercising! I skipped dinner though and just had a snack so I'm starving hungry so will be raiding the cupboards this evening me thinks! Must think bikini, must think bikini!....

Morning all, wide awake and raring to go, well sot of. Didn't sleep particularly well last night, so a bit of a slow start today. I have to be at work slightly earlier than normal as I have an informal training session with my line manager. I am also training my new assistant which is a tad draining. I am having a bit of a protest and not carrying out an essential part of my job until I receive 5 months worth of expenses that are owed to me, my personal budget just cant continue to accomodate it. I feel a bit uncomfortable doing it, but have come to the conclusion that the organisation are being a little unreasonable expecting me to do so. Either that or being AF has made me more belligerent than usual.
    1 more AFD please Shaggy.

    Have a great day y'all

Good morning, and it is good as the sun is shining and I didn't drink last night so am pretty chipper.

Bearacus, yes please to the school night challenge - I didn't drink Monday or Tuesday and will plan not to drink today or tomorrow - Friday I will probably have one as we have friends over. And that's 2 for May please shaggy

Had a conversation with friends yesterday and there are so may of us who 'find it difficult not to have a glass of an evening'. We're all, more or less, housewives with kids and it's an easy way to wind down after the witching hour of early evening. No wonder we all feel tired and can't remember anything!
    Trying to keep in budget.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
