I am aware of a mother who claims WTX & CTX for a child that has lived with his father since summer 2012, she claims as a single parent.
3 years ago she split from boyfriend which lead to homelessness, she and her son moved in to her (previously marital home) where her X husband lives with there eldest son,
So..... each parent claimed for one child, whilst living in same house, oh and although divorced she still has family surname, How this didn't ring alarm bells to authorities I don't know.
She has been with her new partner for approx 2 years and moved in with him last summer leaving both sons living with there father.
Still claiming single mother working & child tax, failing to declare her fiance and his income etc. He has his own construction company and owns a few properties which are rented out, one of which they both currently reside in, whilst they are waiting for few last stages of solicitors/mortgage dealings on a house they are buying!
Her fiance clearly financially supports her, she has upgraded her car from an old Peugeot to a 2 year old Audi, most weekends she broadcasts the expensive designer footwear/clothing she bought in London, photos posted regularly on twitter / facebook regarding posh lifestyle in London and all ideas for there Wedding next year.
She works full time as a receptionist so 'credit where credit due',however she receives approx £450 monthly tax credits for a child that doesn't live with her, neither of her sons choose to stay over at her house they rarely visit her at all.
I really must stress that I am aware that 'Jealousy is an ugly thing' and I can honestly say this isn't an act of jealousy, just wanting to do what I feel is morally correct as it's unfair when people abuse systems that are of help to society. It is for persons in need! Not persons with Greed!
Sorry to ramble on and on.... hope this makes some sense, any advice or words of wisdom will be gratefully received
Thanks for reading x
Have to say it amazes me how you know so much about this woman. How do you know such a phenomenal amount of personal stuff and financial information about the woman in question...??? I literally do not know anywhere NEAR that amount of information about ANYone, except myself and my husband.
How do you know all the amounts she receives in tax credits and how many hours she works etc? Does this person report it all on twitter or facebook or something??? So weird IMO. I don't know one single person who gives so much info out on their personal and financial circumstances. So how do you know so much?0 -

If you check her posting history you'll see that she put the same story on the Benefits board. A few of the posters came to the conclusion that this 'benefit cheat' is her partner's ex.0 -
Valli, why does having a 4x4 parked outside someone elses house annoy you ?.
It's a good job you don't live where I do, otherwise you might be b1tching about me leaving my van parked-up and unused.
At the property I used to live in i'd encourage you to park your large van outside my house! It would be a much better sight than seeing the fat, hairy old man across the way stood in his window every morning!!!!0 -

So answer the original question though....
i'd have no qualms reporting this. Because I work 50+ hours per week for what equates to less than minimum wage and don't see why I should struggle on paying taxes and spending less time with my family whilst they abuse the system I pay in to.
Although imo a person claiming JSA whilst not pro-actively and genuinely trying to be placed in employment is also committing benefit fraud - but unfortunately this is not how the law sees it. I think it's about time we focused on those that are scrounging and pass on the money to people unable to work because of disabilities and single parents.
Although of course we should stop classing the addiction to alcoholism & substances as a damn disability - either that or class 'caffeine' as a substance under the equality act so I can quit work claiming i'm addicted to coffee and need an allowance to go to Costa everyday.
(somewhat of a rant over)
Although I do feel like this government has helped working people on low incomes by raising the tax-free allowance!0
