    Hi everyone

Csarina...glad you are feeling better, you sounded like you were quite worried, so that's fab that there is a marked improvement.

VickyA...I know what that feeling of relief is like. Good luck with how things turn out, things will start getting better for you now. (BTW are you going to sue the bar stewards? Sounds like that person in charge has some sort of vendetta going on...somebody has got to stop him/her...though if you decide to draw a line under the whole episode and leave it behind you that is perfectly understandable too).

The house of SnowyOwl is getting a blitz with the vacuum cleaner and Stardrops today. I am quite ashamed of it as I've really not kept on top of things this past couple of weeks. In fact, one of my friends wanted to come over and I had to put her off...oops!! I know she wanted to come and see me but I do have a smidgen of pride. She's coming over next weekend hopefully.

The weather here in N.Ireland today is my favourite....a bit windy, but sunny, dry and cool. Perfect for going walking in (tomorrow possibly lol).

I'm off to the local recycling centre to get rid of some old clothes...the uniform from my last job in fact. The money saver in me says wear some of it for dossing about, or rip it up for cleaning cloths...but no, the stressed and unhappy part of me says get it and every reminder of that miserable chapter out of the house. That uniform is not even good enough to clean the cats' litter tray with...

    Cheerio for now everyone.

Only 3 working days left and then I don't have to go back to that school. I feel so relieved. The atmosphere is terrible and the head is now bullying the next person she wants to leave. It's so blatantly obvious to all members of staff, it's quite embarassing to those looking on. The person being bullied has just contacted her union, but surely it shouldn't be like that .

    Vicky

Too right, it shouldn't! That can be classed as constructive dismissal, and can lead to Employment Tribunal, especially if some of her colleagues will write statements backing her up. PM me if you need further assiatance.

Vicky, you sound well out of it :T

well i've just had breakfast (yes, at 3.45!) .. bacon and egg butties made with HM bread.. reason its so late is partly because i got up late but partly because the kitchen was a bombsite after last night, and OH promised to clean up - so no breakfast till that was done.

I have to say though, that the recipe for yummy scrummy slices is absolutely to die for... i had 2 slices last night and i can't see them lasting much beyond sunday.

Apart from that, i pretty much have orders to take it easy today. The OH hasn't been well the last couple of weeks - even walking the dog left him shaking and crawling into bed - so i've been looking after him and walking Jess (normally his job) and doing all the other stuff i normally do... and last night i just hit a brick wall, so tired i just couldn't move. So OH tucked me up in bed, promised to do the washing up, and when i woke up this morning (after 11 hours sleep) told me to take it easy.

So, pizza for tea, maybe pottering around making some stuff or writing some letters to my great aunt.. enjoy whats on the box.. LOL.

oh, and in  news... OH accidentally turned the coffee machine on earlier today when the jug was empty of liquid.. and its cracked the glass. Its a cheap cookworks machine.. Anyone any clues about where to get a replacement jug, cheap, or is it not worth it, and better off replacing the whole thing? Really could have done without that happening with christmas happening but.. oh well.

hope everyone has a good day!

    Afternoon all!!

Well we have ended up having a day in, decided after working the budget out that we shouldnt really go to the pub!!
So i have done some ironing instead!!
Been food shopping and have clean up a little.
Dh who says he never takes much notice of this board did us proud when he went to get ds3 bike this morning. He saw one in the window reduced to 49.99 and went and had a look in store, where it was priced at 59.99, so when he asked the assistant told him the price in the window was a mistake and he said wait for it.....
But you have to sell it me at the price you have advertised so i want it for £49.99, and after speaking with a superviser he got it for just that!!!!
    Im so proud LOL.

Right of to prepare tea and then bath and settle down for x-factor.
    Have a great evening all
    Donna

Edit- i have heard from my friends dh, and he said she is ok today although highly sedated, and said as long as she takes her medication and stops fighting with the staff they are sure she will be fine.

I had a lovely morning cooking and felt good.

    Then I saw the post

My husband accidently opened my son's savings statement and seen that he has withdrawn £2000 over the past two years, and £400 has gone out this month. We also give him an allowance on top.

This is his deposit for a property money that we saved since he was born and wasn't allowed to be touched except for deposits and occasional dip ins after asking us if he could.

We feel betrayed and sickened by his irresponsible attitude to money.

It is these that we are having

They put 2 packs in my shopping without me requesting them at a total of £24 . I was almost in tears when I thought they weren't going to refund us for them as we had had signed the order off, but as they weren't on the substitutions list nor were they requested they gave us the money back thank goodness! They aren't very big either, each one only has about 100g of meat in them!

Susiesaver, how horrible for you. I'm glad the bank was helpful towards you.

Edit: link doesn't work it's the Bigham's Beef Wellington's at 11.99 per pack.

It was their mistake - they sound very expensive

I hope you enjoy them tho'

((hugs)) Difficult situtation all round :( He'll feel equally "betrayed" that *his* statement was read - especially if you point out the fact of £2k being w/drawn over 2yrs ... as that indicates that the statement wasn't only opened in error, but was scrutinized too :(:( Very unfortunate for you all indeed! Hope there is some way you will find to heal the rift of trust that has occured on both sides ((hugs)).

Sorry, dorry ... we've just had nachos, not Nando's (lurve Nando's too though :D )

kyle - delighted your dh had a lovely birthday :T :D Belated good wishes from QueenieLand

moggins - ((hugs)) You need to get into the art of delegation, my friend ;) And yes, I've finally sat down :rotfl:

Today's shopping trip I believe was a success :D Of course, the boys were doing theirs "in secret" so I can't comment, but I still managed to pick up a bargain or two of my own to tuck away ;)
Two big washloads done; bathroom cleaned; walking around with my eyes shut in the rest of the house ... that will be tackled tomorrow, tonight I have knitting to finish and that involves a parked butt  Caught up with some emails and phone calls and also managed a quickie meditation to keep the stress levels at bay!

    Hmmm, X-Factor in less than an hour ... :T :T :T

I seem to be in charge of a wayward OH at the moment. Yesterday he broke his china mug (that had cost me an unusual £12 in John Lewis) and today he managed to shatter the lid of the crock pot (SC)
    AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!

Managed to cancel the Amazon order but that still means I have all those people to buy for now. It may turn out well, as some of the books are cheaper at the Book People, and the one thing they wouldn't let me cancel can't be found at anything like their price.

I didn't go to York as I was too baffled by the decision, so I went to Meadowhall instead. Not a brilliant trip, but felt better afterwards than on my last post, this morning.

Vicky, glad the ordeal is nearing its end. I once had a head like that, she never gunned for me it must be said, in fact she was very supportive of me personally when things got tough, even though she had stopped me working for a year when she failed me my Supply list interview... Then I worked for her.... then I left... Then her staff mutinied and she was forced out..... years later, guess who got a my job at another place when I left? (and it wasn't a headship)
Best wishes for a happier future anyway.

    Goodnight

    Jane/ Topher
