Morning! did a sleepover at work last night but popped back to bed when I got home for an hour!:o

Was supposed to be going shopping with DH to finish the christmas shopping but he's a grumpy old git this morning so I'll probably go on my own:rolleyes:

Got a mega pile of ironing to tackle later and lots of washing. Feeling a bit fed up about it all especially as my best friend is moving away today:(

Have a bit of good news, DS1 has got an interview for a job as a trainee web designes/developer on Monday:j

Have a lovely day folks. Back later

    Take care xx

    Made two hampers yesterday

Gardening one - RHS Diary, bulbs, seeds and two mugs with hot choc and some shortbread. Came in at just over £7.00 and is for a couple who we normally just buy some smellies or biscuits for at around £10 and even if I do say so myself looks much more expensive.

Movie one - DVD, small bottle of wine, coke, popcorn and some homemade sweets. This is for my friends daughter and is possibly the last time we will buy for her, she is almost 20, so rather than just getting something like a DVD I have made the effort to look like more thought has gone into it.

    Have a good day.

What a good idea Gilly, your hampers sound smashing!:T

    Morning to Everyone,

Things are rather overcast with us this morning. Have not posted for a while as myself and DS have not been well. We are starting to feel a bit better now though. I mamaged to finish and drop off a box for the "Samaritans Purse" campaign. My DS liked helping to fill the box (he's only 3). THink this will be one tradition we shall be doing every year.

Just need to finish wrapping a few last xmas pressies, and then I'm done:D. Think I will ask OH for Martin's new book as part of my Xmas pressie. Hope you all have an easy day, and a good start to the weekend.

    Morning all

Not got much planned today. I'm currently cuddled up in bed with my laptop (the joys of wireless networking!) so I dont have to turn the heating on as yet!

Will get up a little bit later and then its housework and washing to be done. OH is coming up later on this afternoon for the night so I'll be cooking something yummy.

Take care everyone and have a nice day

dlb-well done on handling a bad situation so well. I hope you friend gets better soon

am at the BFs today. His Mum, Sis, BIL, niece, nephew and Mum's builder (!?) are coming up to London today. The village they live in put on a coach up to london a few times a year, so they are coming up to inspect his new flat! He's slightly worried about, but also quite gobsmacked as he has lived in London since 1989 and his mum has only come to visit his house once before! His daughter and her half brother and sister are also coming over (they live in London), as they like to see his niece and nephew.

So they are all coming here, and then we are going to a walk in Crystal Palace Park to see the model dinosaurs and then lunch at a cafe in Crystal Palace. Not very OS, but there is no space to cater for 11 in his house. In fact, when the two of us are here it's pretty packed, and i'm only 4 feet 11 :rotfl:

then it's a restful evening, with some wine to recover from the whole experience, _pale_ and some washing to do, and some bathroom tiles to choose.

have lovely saturdays, and hugs to all that need them :grouphug:

Going with DD to a book signing for a person on Most Haunted so she should enjoy that.

Will then take another DD shopping for a couple of outfits later this afternoon.

Have pea and ham hock soup in the slow cooker for later.

    Hugs to all.

:grouphug:to those who need one :grouphug:

Thankfully, I am feeling a little better this morning, gosh, that was a hairy few days, have not felt like that before!!!!!

Nasty, grey morning, I hate the grey days, the early part fo the month was so much better, bright clear days is what I like........

Nothing planned, need to regain my strength for the coming week, a visit on Wednesday and also my December shop at MR T's, all the goodies for the hols........ the shop has been undergoing a refurb/extention....... we now have 'an upstairs' with a moving walkway, cafe, larger electrical dept and new racking with more room between for trolleys, its taken several months to complete, but OH was in on Thursday and says that its almost all finished. Of course they have changed the position of everything in the grocery section of the store (drives me mad), so we will not be able to find anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not getting dressed today, but off downstairs for :coffee: and to empty the drier, have used it 3 nights this week, just not the weather to hang it out.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Hello

Weather is cloudy - I hope people down south didn't get a bad night.

Yes glad Scott went from IMACGMOOH!

Filled in a couple of online surveys over breakfast. so far I have earned £15 from Lightspeed, £10 to spend in Tesco and £10 to spend in Argos. They are very handy now Christmas is coming.

Am going to do more packing/decluttering

We are aiming to put our house up for sale in the new year but the clutter is scandalous:eek:

Husband will take the bottles to the bottle bank and get some top up shopping from Lidl - he is seeing the light now and loves some of the food we can't get elsewhere there.

Shall cook a pasta bake based on the bacon & mushroom pasta posted on OS

I agree winter is tolerable when the weather is crisp, still, clear and DRY!
