a qualified infection control nurse with a degree and 14 years working with the hpa, any other questions?( so in reality i do know more about cross infection than jo public)
the my dear bit was sarcasm by the way !
i am struggling a little to understand why you had such a knee jerk reaction to my response as i have said throughout this is about informed choice, iam mearly putting the other side across so i will not "turn it off"

and exactly this has to the world being flat, you lost me on that one
Sarcasm does not become you. Don't struggle on my behalf just allow people to make their own mind up. You are not the only person with a degree who reads this forum. It's not knee jerk I'm just sick of people putting down what is something which is just a bit different. Clearly we are not going to agree. I could continue to have a go at you , which would be soooo easy and you me. At the end of the day people make their own chioces with or without your 14 yrs of experience(sorry was that a tad sarcastic, it must be rubbing off!) :-)
  • My sister is a Beauty Therapist and her team have had warnings about cross infections through fish pedicures, and have been advised to talk anyone they meet who discusses it out of having it done. She also had a friend who had it done and blood somehow was drawn (I don't know any more details than that I'm afraid). I just really hope the water was changed after that!

I understand that it may be a natural process for the fish themselves, but you wouldn't get a regular pedicure without the equipment being cleaned specifically for you first. I think it's simply the sharing element of it which causes concern for some.

Personally I'd rather pay for someone to give my poor hoofs a nice massage! :D
