Debate around unexpected pregnancy always amuses me at some level - you have sex, sometimes you get lucky/unlucky (depends where you're sitting, I guess). You can use contraception, emergency contraception and have situations like yours (and I have at least 2 friends who were told they'd never conceived who have) and it still happens. Its ok, and I'm sorry if my post came across as if i was being spiteful in relationation,
I'm just fed up of people judging me, yes I didnt use contraception and yes it was silly as I could have contracted an STI etc however I am only human and therefore make mistakes. I started this thread asking for help and advice if it would be worth me going down the CSA route, not to have myself run a 'judgement' gaunlette
I love my son, and plan to provide for him 100%, with money that I earn from working (when i return and on my maternity pay before that).0

Don't beat yourself up about it, we've all done it . I doubt if there's many that can say they've never taken a risk. For every person that gets caught out there's probably 10 that don't. . Also, don't feel bad about trying to get some maintenance for your son. Why shouldn't you? Keep up the good work - it's not easy being a single parent. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey 0 0

honestly - my story would make your hair curl. I do however have a very well educated, should know better ex-husband who believes that I 'got pregnant on purpose so I wouldn't leave you' after WE didn't use a condom 4 days before he walked out to be with his girlfriend of (at least) 2 years. Despite the fact the little mite arrived less than 4 hours before his due date, my ex will still tell anyone who will listen that 'the dates don't add up'. Believe me, if anyone feels daft and judged, it's me!
None of it matters. My youngest has been a total and utter joy and despite my reservations and a hellish pregnancy emotionally with the ex and the girlfriend taunting me, I wouldn't ever be without him. He's an angel. Enjoy your son, take some time off, get to know him and work out your futures. Dad will face his responsibilities or he won't. If he doesn't, it's him we'll be judging.0
