What a sad man, what a waste of food. Even after they had only £50 to spend they still bought a heavily packaged pack of 4 apples, how much did they cost?
    It'd surprise you...

I picked up two apples in Morrisons the other day.. £1.13  Two apples! The pack of six was sat on another shelf for £1.85.
  • £3.50 for a Spag Bol. Could have been a lot cheaper............

On the plus side it looks making your own lip gloss can save you enough money to buy a Smeg fridge freeszer!

Coconut oil is so expensive, surely it would be cheaper to just go and buy a lipgloss.

If this guy is so obsessed with "quality", perhaps he needs to think of ways of upping his income...the wife was the main breadwinner and now has to work p/t. I'd go nuts if someone was casually throwing my hard-earned dosh in the bin like he was!!!

I'm waiting for "that's immense" lol.

They must earn loads between them though because their house is huge! Plenty of space in their lounge for the furniture plus being able to actually walk around it, and a nice big kitchen.

On the positive side he did change his mind afterwards about the food.

What irritated me the most about last nights episode was that the father of the food family was choosing what the mother should buy and cook!
She was the one doing the cooking despite his claim to enjoy cooking 'only brands'.
She even had to tell him off for keeping on coming and stirring stuff.
I said to OH, If her job is to buy and cook the meals(I consider it mine anyway) then why is he getting himself in a tizzy?
I think she was already firmly convinced that down branding was the way to go and just needed her OH to stop throwing a tantrum about it .
The safety pin trick was more interesting in that it would cost £60 for the mechanics to sort it out, I couldn't help thinking that mechanics probably charge you £60 and use a safety pin themselves.
OH said that would be for the hours labour so the moral of that story is, a safety pin can earn you a pound a minute if you have one handy to clear your wiper jets.
How crazy that the girl with the bead dress would have thrown it away because she didn't know how to sew the beads back on.

  • just finished watching this.....the bloke from the family needed a slap and his wife needs to learn how to make bechemal sauce properly...that was awful what she layered that lasagne with!

I said the same about her sauce too - presumably she usually buys the ready-made Dolmio one so hasn't a clue about making one from scratch. There wasn't enough of it anyway. I would have been very embarassed about serving that up for guests.
