I'm a photographer and a parent. I find this thread rather upsetting as the two things I love most can rarely be done together because of overparanoid people.

Honestly, my children are on camera a lot more than you'd think, the supermarket, the town centre, even sat in the car from traffic cameras. Potentially there's someone selling copies to some pervert anywhere? Hang on, does that sound paranoid and silly, of course it does!
Kids hang out at parks and drink and smoke, drug deals do take place. It's perfectly understandable for people to have visible cameras set up to deter people using the park for those things.

Honestly, OP, you're being overparanoid. If someone wanted to watch fully clothed kids on their tv all day long all they need to do is turn CBeebies on.

Sounds to me like there have been druggies in the past and the old man and old woman next door had enough and decided to do something about it. now the people have been caught they don't come back and both like to leave a visual deterrent to prevent them coming back. If the OP is that worried firstly speak to the guy rather than make a opinion based on one fact that could mean many things and secondly if you're that worried request a copy of the recording. This is a legal right you have so you can see what he is actually recording rather than what you assume he is recording.

I'm more worried that the OP lets her kids run around the park naked........otherwise what interest would a !!!!! have in recording hours and hours of fully dressed kids which can be seen almost anywhere .

Op dear - no self-respecting pedo is going to be interested in grainy photos of your little darlings fully clothed and on a swing. No. If anyone is going to be drooling over your kiddiwinks it's far more likely to be your husbands, brother-in-laws, fathers, teachers or anyone else closely associated with you. Child grooming involves winning a kid's trust and forming an emotional bond and trust...rather hard from behind a secured window. Look closer to home. MUCH closer.

there are pedo's everywhere, your childrens teachers, the milkman, the police, even the fathers (afterall, they get to touch and bathe their own kids).
