Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I'm taking a slightly different approach to meal planning this week in the hope of getting back into the swing of it: rather than having set meals on set days I've just got a list of meals I can pick from. If that doesn't work I might abandon meal planning for a while - luckily I've got enough stuff in my freezer and cupboards that a lack of meal plan shouldn't wreck things as long as I've got the discipline to use what I've got rather than buying more. :o

    So:

Friday - my sister might be visiting - if so we'll go out for dinner; if not it will be a HM ready meal from the freezer.
    Saturday - ditto
    Sunday to Thursday:
    courgette and bacon pasta bake
bean and veg bake with garlic bread topping
egg and bean curry with naan bread

prawns and pepper in sweet chilli sauce with coconut rice
venison stew (from the freezer) with dumplings and green veg

Let's see how that works out! ;)
Back after a very long break!

Had 2 changes this week, realised we're going to a christening this sunday, so we'll have the lamb shanks next sunday and have beans/cheese on toast this week instead. Also didn't have the steak for my birthday as we went out for a pub lunch, then wasn't hungry in the evening, so will save that for a few weeks time.

Mon: Cheese & onion quiche, chips & beans
Tues: Mustard pork chops, mash, veg and gravy
Wed: Parmesan chicken, new potatoes & salad
Thurs: Lamb chops, roast new potatoes, veg & gravy
Fri: Gnocchi bake, HM garlic bread, salad
Sat: Sweet & sour chicken balls & egg fried rice
    Sun: Lamb shanks roast dinner

Must bake some biscuits this weekend, as I've been too busy and DH and DSs are starting to complain that there's nothing to snack on.

It really isn't what you think it is....

Idea nicked of Nigella for a quickish mid-week roast. Chicken pieces, potatoes (don't have to be peeled, just washed and quartered plus veg all put in one laver in the same roasting tin (use root veg, onions, peppers, courgettes, butternut squash, tomatoes - anything you have really, just not green veg such as broccolli etc...) add lemon wedges if you like, fresh herbs if you have them, plenty of seasoning and a good glug of olive oil - mix it all up together and bung in the oven for an hour until cooked.

That dishy young chef on Lorraine (James Tanner I think it was ) did something like this earlier on in the week and I have planned this for Sunday lunch rather than doing a traditional roast , he made a stuffing and wrapped chicken thighs round the stuffing. It sounds and did indeed looked delish .I'm sure it will be lovely.
Paul Walker , in my dreams;)

Here's the upcoming mealplans chez kitchenbunny:

Sat: Chicken Curry with Wild Rice (for a change to help circulate rice supplies as I have loads)
Sun: Sausage Casserole with mashed potatoes & veg
Mon: Meat Feast Pasta (Using leftover sausage casserole)
Tues: Lamb Tikka Kebabs with flatbreads & salad
Weds: Not sure, probably a stirfry
    Thurs: Cottage Pie
    Fri: Jambalaya

I might do a bit of baking to put something in the tin, but if I do it'll be quite a low fat thing like some skinny muffins or something as I want to get a little leaner for summer. There's plenty of fruit & water in the tap too. Have a good week, everyone.

Mon - I'm off out so leaving OH with a frozen pizza (i cook him lovely meals from scratch and all he wants is frozen pizza)
Tues - HM Veggie burgers with HM wedges and salad
Wed - HM Bean stew and pasta - yum
Thurs - HM Greek pie, new potatoes and salad (might do some cheese scones for my cheese scone loving friend who is coming for tea)
