Vodafone Premium Rate SMS bar option-question for Vodafone
Comments

Update on my situation, VF have agreed to raise a credit to my account to cover all charges incurred from the premium rate numbers accessed...this amounted to £690.74 in a 10 day period!
:beer: cheers for all of the help and advice guys!0 -
Following on from this fiasco;
I'd like to add that a couple of days ago I received an Adult Services SMS message to my phone despite having a Premium Rate Bar placed on it by Vodafone. However, having looked up the number it turns out to be a number in Sudan of all places, so I'm guessing that it was not a Premium Rate number and hoping it was neither reverse charge or chargeable. I have however asked Vodafone to confirm this.
Thankfully, I have a Blackberry firewall which should now block all incoming texts from non-contacts.0 -

Vodafone have just replied to confirm I have not been charged for the message received but suggest I do reply with 'STOP', "to ensure that the messages don’t continue to come through to you" - which I must admit I am reluctant to do as surely this will only serve to confirm my number is active and in use.0
